I was looking to hire an attorney for a simple deed, first he suggested I do a full estate plan and then on our initial consultation for the estate plan, I found out he does not listen, does not do his homework and then blamed me for it. I sent him all information he had requested and more via email. He claimed I did not send it until I specifically told him what day and time they were sent both to him and his assistant. I was a bit leary of the comments another person had made about Jay being rude and dismissive until I experienced it myself. I WILL NEVER EVER want to work with a so called professional like him. Needless to say, After the two conversations I had, I am not going to hire him ever again.

I had the opportunity to work with Jay Pelkofer on a matter involving county government that lasted for more than a year. During that time, dealing with the government was often frustrating for me. Jay remained patient and professional. Throughout the ordeal, the county would go silent for weeks or even months. When they finally came back, Jay was quickly up to speed and, overall, was quite responsive to requests from me or the county. But most importantly, I was impressed by how much Jay cared about my case. He listened to my perspective. While he tried to keep me realistic, I sensed how much he cared about me and the outcome of my case. I recommend you consider Jay for your legal needs.

I spoke with Jay Pelkofer regarding my issue and he was highly dismissive and unprofessional. He seemed more interested in sounding smart than understanding my situation and needs. I ended up just leaving mid-conversation due to his abrasiveness - let alone lack of sound legal advice.

I worked with Jay for a landlord-tenant issue and he did an excellent job. Highly recommend him. I called around and his rates plus response time were the best. Being my first lawsuit, I was nervous about the process but he sat down with me, asked me the right questions, and focused the issue to present it to court. At court, the plaintiff was aggressive and lied about many things, and I wanted to respond, but Jay calmly told me most stuff doesn’t matter, and he was right. He was able to focus testimony and questions to exactly what the judge wanted to know. If I have a future issue, I will definitely hire him again.
