I used Mr. Bergstrom to set up a gun trust. My situation was complex having been a former CIII dealer w/numerous Pre-86 D.S. guns, with a CIII firearm in my Father's possession who lives in another state which I wanted in the Trust, etc. Mr. Bergstrom went far out of his way to assist me in every way possible. There were numerous instances when I emailed him with a question on a weekend assuming that I'd have his reply on Monday only to have a reply w/in a couple of hours - service far beyond my expectations. In addition to great service Mr. Bergstrom is extremely knowledgeable. Given my excellent experience with Mr. Bergstrom I recommended him to my best friend, also a former CIII. He too received outstanding serviced and was very pleased. I can say w/o any reservations that the service which I received from Mr. Bergstrom FAR exceeded my execrations. I HIGHLY recommend Mr. Bergstrom! I am absolutely confident that you will be most pleased with his service.

Matthew and his team set the standard for this type of work. Beyond merely setting up your trust, Matthew is available for follow on questions (useful for the newbie) and all sorts of advice. I was new to the whole family trust thingy and I began to feel guilty I consumed so much of Matthew's time explaining every scenario I could come up with, and over time. I had a reckless driving charge for filtering through stopped traffic on a scooter. Despite the number of negative points already on my license, Bill Hicks accepted to take my case and defend me in front of Fairfax County Traffic Court. With his help, we had the ticket reduced to Fairfax County Code violation which harbored no DMV points or impact on my license. He was attentive and well worth the time. I would highly recommend him to anyone facing a charge in Fairfax County's money-making traffic court.

I would just like to say Mr. Hicks has been representing my husband for over 20 years whether in criminal or traffic court and has always done an outstanding job. Recently when my best friend needed a lawyer my husband told me to refer her to Mr. Hicks. In which all charges were reduced with a very happy outcome. Two months later another friend asked me about a lawyer for her son. Again I recommended Mr. Hicks and again another friend was happy with the outcome of the case. Recently my son had a traffic violation (No CDL) license. I contacted Mr. Hicks on his cell phone and he answered calling me by name. I was impressed! I have been a client of Mr. Hicks since 1999. Whenever your freedom is at stake, nothing but the best defense is acceptable. This is why I only recommend Mr. Hicks. Mr. Hicks defended me a number of times. Every time the outcome was favorable and better than what I had hoped for. While the outcome is the most important factor, it is not the only critical one. For my peace of mind it was critical that my attorney do the following: 1. Answer my calls or return them w/in 1 day, 2. Care about my case as if it were as important as more serious and more lucrative cases, 3. Be completely honest and not attempt to give false hope of favorable outcomes, and 4. Treat me with respect (the authorities treat you like you’re already guilty, what good is an attorney who does the same and does not believe your innocence?). Mr. Hicks did all of the above and has been a great attorney and advisor. Thank you Mr. Hicks!

I was in a very bad situation that could have ruined my future, but after my first visit to Mr. Hicks' office, I knew everything was going to be alright. Mr. Hicks reassured me and told me that I would be well taken care of and that he would defend me to the best of his ability. He was true to his word, and got me out of that situation. When you are a client of Bill Hicks, you are also a friend. And if I had to go through that again, I would choose Mr. Hicks to represent me every time.
