Desde el minuto uno sabía que era el indicado , sabía de lo que estaba llamando , me dio pronósticos y precios razonables. I had allegedly received a reckless driving speeding ticket for 85 in a 55 zone, the officer also wrote me for no front plate, tinted license plate cover on the back, and "failure to obey traffic signal" for barely running the yellow. I received a letter from Mr. Dearborn's law office a week or two after the incident, and at first glance I was drawn in by the prices, but after looking more into Mr. Dearborn and talking to him over the phone, he was the attorney that I wanted to go with. I will say this was my first experience with an attorney so I didn't know what to expect or to request, but he made it easy and gave me a list of things to do before hand, I got them done very early, so there was just a month of no communication, and I reached out before the court date and he told me to prepare the documents and bring them with me. At court, he met me before court and he worked out a deal with the prosecuting officer M. Salvas and he got the other three charges dropped and got the reckless 85/55 reduced to only a 85/55 speeding charge, was a $166 fine including courts fees. He was awesome and super helpful, I would say that he is worth more than he charges.

I have had a good experience with Mr. Lau handling my First Level Appeal with the Virginia Employment Commission (VEC). While I do not yet know the outcome following the appeal, I do believe Mr. Lau put forth as good a case as anyone can in front of the Examiner. Mr. Lau helped me prepare for the appeal, put forth questions to me during the appeal itself, and summarized with closing arguments. He went through a lot of documentation I had collected, and picked relevant documents to be submitted as exhibits during the appeal. This step is important, and one where his experience comes forth, because you don't want to give too much information and overwhelm the Examiner or give too little. He effectively bridged the two domains, the one of my employment situation, and the other being the legal process to put forth my case in front of the examiner. The outcome needed to be a legally compelling story supported by evidence, and I'd say Mr. Lau was able to do that successfully. While working with him, I felt he was upfront, and there were no high-pressure tactics. Keep in mind that working with Mr. Lau is a two-way street - you have to be able to tell your story, allow the attorney to ask you probing questions, provide documentation, and just be honest and upfront without attempting to hide or alter any information. You have to help him, so he can help you.
