I was stopped on Route 95 North in Fairfax County, Virginia and was ticketed for driving 77 mph in a 55-mph zone. Since the ticket was for more than 20 miles over the posted speed limit, I was cited for reckless driving. I was worried about having my driving license suspended, negatively impacting my auto insurance and I read that in Virginia you could go to jail if convicted for reckless driving. I went online and found Attorney Joseph Yoon who was a highly recommended defense attorney. After talking with Attorney Yoon, he put my mind at ease and I hired him to represent me in court and he told me that I did not have to appear in court if I did not want to be there. Attorney Yoon got my violation significantly reduced and called me on the telephone from the courtroom to advised me what had transpired. I was very pleased with the outcome and thanked him for his efforts. Attorney Yoon was not satisfied with the initial outcome because he felt there was more to the story. He kept working for me and called me again an hour later to advise me that he was able to go back to the prosecutor, raise an additional defense regarding the accuracy of the speeding charges against me and have the state drop the charges completely. My driving record is now clear of the speeding and reckless driving charges as if I was never charged to begin with. The incident will not appear on my DMV driving record and it will not impact my auto insurance. Mr Joseph Yoon is a very different lawyer. He focuses on problem solving more than just money making. I got a ticket for not stopping for a school bus - which is the category of reckless driving. I didn't see flashing light, but the police insisted that I had time and should have waited to see the flashing light. I chatted with a couple of claimed to be "lawyers" online. All I have been informed was that I needed to hire them or I would be in jail and lose my driver license. One lawyer who couldn't handle cases in my district refer me to her friend lawyer. Her friend lawyer referred me to pay and take her friend's "driving to an extreme" class, so that I can show the judge how serious I was towards my potential "crime". I was assumed to have done wrong by her. I searched all over the internet about the class, I couldn't find any reviews or comments on how this class had helped with anybody's defense. I got home after work and called Yoon Law Firm, by then, I have already done my research on Yelp. It was late and I was ready to just leave a message, but Mr Yoon answered the phone. He was in his office to cover his assistant. Two minutes into the conversation and after he found out my situation, Mr. Yoon offered to take my case. Unlike other "I can help you" lawyers, Mr. Yoon asked a very reasonable fee to represent the case for me. Just like all other cases Mr. Yoon represented, my case was down graded to just to pay a fine with no points. I don't know what kind of magic Mr Yoon exercised, he definitely has some and I didn't even need to be at the court that day. I have been worrying about the case for one month, with mail came in everyday from different law offices to remind me of my potential "crime" and "jail time". Now my nerve can be rested. This was my first experience with Mr. Yoon and his staff, they were all very professional and polite. They responded very quickly and guided me through out the process. Mr. Yoon personally contacted me to get the details about my ticket. I didn't even have to show up on my court date and he got my ticket dismissed, worth every penny in my case. Mr Joseph Yoon is very special attorney. Please read this review carefully if you have reckless driving charge. I got reckless driving charge at Dulles toll road in Fairfax county. I was clocked at really high speed. I contacted several attorneys who didn't tell me much. They only suggested I get odometer calibration done before I come by at their office. They all told me I am facing license suspension, possible jail time and class 1 misdimeanor conviction. When I talked to Joseph, I heard the same things as I heard from other attorneys. However I figured he is more personable, caring and strategic. He instructed in details of what I need to do. Interestingly, my friends and other people told me why don't I hire white American lawyer. Maybe because lots of Judges and prosecutors are white? (Skin color turned out to be nothing important at least if Joseph supports you). Joseph is not white American but he grew up in Fairfax county. After the first court date, he received a deal from prosecutor which is reckless driving charge, license suspension for 90 days and 30 days suspended jail time. I was shocked and upset. Joseph apparently didn't get the deal. We continued. Of course, my case is really tough one. Now I am telling why he is special one. In order to get better deal on second hearing date, Joseph met 8 different prosecutors personally to discuss my case. Because he thought we are gonna have one of them anyhow on second court date. Unfortunately, no prosecutor promised that they will reduce my charge or keep my driver license alive. He even talked to senior prosecutor on the second court date to mitigate my charge. This is not what attorneys usually do. I did my part too. I got couple letter from my employers and coworkers for second hearing. With all these effort, Joseph made impossible things possible. Today prosecutor and Joseph made a deal that I only get high speed ticket WITHOUT reckless conviction and license suspension. Just fine at court. In brief, cases like mine is very tough. All other lawyers said "of course you will get reckless conviction, and we would be very fortunate if we avoid license suspension". I believe Jospeh does not have best deal all the time BUT he garauntees he puts extra effort on your case for the best result if you cooperate. You need Joseph if you need extraordinarily useful attorney.
