Whitney Lawrimore Hughes assisted me with my divorce in a speedy, professional manner. She was there to take my calls when I had questions, and answered my emails in a timely fashion. Incredible firm. I have gotten legal help for child support on two occasions, the first was with Paul six years ago, and the second was with Alex last year. They are both very professional and knowledgeable and they represented me well in court. In short, they are good at what they do. What's more is that they are really great people. Whitney is a highly professional and caring attorney. When I first walked into the PJI offices and introduced myself to the receptionist (Anne Marie), she immediately knew who I was and put me at ease with her smile and reassured me that I was in good hands. Up to this point I had met with five other "highly recommended" wing-tip law firms in Fairfax concerning my personal injury case. Now, they were all very polite and even offered me coffee, but after a few short minutes they dismissed me - not just my case – but me as a person because they said I sustained what they called "low-value return" (soft-tissue) injuries. Adding insult to injury, they then began to immediately tell me about the weaknesses in my case. Never once did they talk about my permanent injury, how my life has changed nor about my suffering physically and financially. Understandably, they cared more about the money they’d make from my case as opposed to helping me achieve an equitable settlement. However, even though Whitney shared some of their concerns, she saw the glass being half-full not just half-empty and more importantly, she saw me as a person and not an investment; I could tell that she sincerely cared about me and not just my case. I may never reach a fair settlement with the insurance company, but one thing I know for sure, Whitney is willing to help me fight the good fight and that’s fine with me. Sometimes winning is just being able to stand up to the bullies in life and not necessarily beating them. Whitney has given me hope and I am grateful that God helped me find her. Finding a good lawyer has to begin with finding a good person – Whitney is a good person first and a fine lawyer second. If one is blessed with the good fortune of discovering the gold standard in legal services to be found in Associate Attorney, Ms. Whitney L. Ms. Hughes and her staff welcomed me to the warmest ambiance that permeates their entire office atmosphere, only to be further complimented by the most courteous and friendliest countenances; one could have ever expected or had hoped to find from start to finish in any establishment, you name it. From the very moment that my case had been assigned to Ms. Hughes, I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed by the ease of tension that had emerged during my initial consultation with her; which was also indicative or otherwise, set the tone for all of the meetings that followed for the entire duration of our encounter. We have been involved with PJI Law for more than 18 months now, specifically Alexander Yun for a child custody, visitation, show cause order, and now a request for modification of child support by my fiancé's ex-husband.
