Sonya Powell and her associates (Powell Radomsky) are simply… the best! Divorce is hard. The process drains one emotionally. The legal system is confusing. And, without competent counsel it can drain one financially. Sonya brings legal expertise, wise counsel and a comprehensive perspective. Additionally, she brings a team. Associates who complement and supplement Sonya’s guidance. In my case, her paralegal Nia Williams, was worth her weight in gold. Sonya not only works hard for her clients, more importantly, she works smart! This saves clients’ money and time. Her guidance ensure that emotions don’t carry one down wasted paths. Sonya is also goal-oriented. Her expert knowledge of case law and her ‘eye on the prize’ perspective ensured, at least in my case that an agreement could be attained with minimal pain. I am aware of several attorneys who use the emotion of the divorce process to stir up their clients and ensure more billable hours. That is definitely not what I encountered with Sonya and her associates. Quite the contrary. Her counsel ensured strategic expenditures with maximum return in terms of dollars, time and limited emotional distress. Sonya works for her clients and, most importantly WITH her clients. I found her process more instructional than listening to a lecture. If your goal is maximum pain on the other party, don’t employ Sonya.
