I had a great experience with Hilton & Somer for my personal injury claim. When I was hit by a drunk driver my chiropractor suggested I speak with an attorney. The insurance agency of the driver initially offered to cover my medical bills and give me a small amount for my pain. I rejected the offer and contacted Hilton & Somer. They met with me immediately and gave me a realistic view of my case. I was able to submit all of my documents via email and Mr. Somer was in regular contact with me. I did have an issue when a secretary from their office left and emails went unanswered. However, once they realized this happened they went above and beyond to insure we had regular communication. In the end we settled and received 20x my original settlement offer. I am very happy with the results of my case.

One never expects to be in a position to need a personal injury lawyer, but sadly most of us will be in such circumstances at least once in our lives. My own personal experience saw my partner and I involved in a very traumatic car crash where we were not at fault. We initially had no plans to pursue any legal action (our accident was kind of a freak one), but only a few days after we got out of the hospital, we started receiving calls and mail from various insurance companies, essentially fighting over who was (and wasn't) going to pay for various aspects of our care. That experience was unexpected, breathtaking, and very sad. And it hammered home the necessity of having an advocate and guide. It's really sad that in this country, the laws seem to be stacked in favor of big business and not protective of actual accident victims. But Rob Somer was a great help and advocate for both my partner and I, throughout the whole process. We stopped getting stressful, threatening calls to our personal phones from various insurance companies. Mr. Somer worked behind the scenes to help the insurance companies sort things out, allowing us time to heal and deal with the fallout of our medical issues. He was really compassionate, kind, and helpful. I really hope to never be involved in a really traumatic accident ever again, but would definitely go back to Hilton and Somer if I ever do need assistance in that manner!!

As stated earlier Integrity matters to me and they are fair, strong, and expert problem solvers by summarizing their clients needs, their injuries, their challenges finding solid resolutions to finalize my case/s by gathering all that is needed. I always respected their questions and them wanting to understand my day to day challenges, needs, but I also appreciated their direct, truthful and firm approach especially during negotiations. Mr. Somer and his “A” team are honest and empathetic to their clients, but also they stand strong, fair, committed and devoted regarding legal rules of law and going to battle for their clients. Update: After one of the owners, Mr. Rob Somer, read my review, he contacted me personally. He did not make excuses for Ms. Smith's actions; in which it was not his responsibility, she is the employee, and an adult. Nonetheless, I truly appreciated and accepted his sincere apology. Unfortunately I had moved on with another firm who gladly took the case, however, him reaching out personally as one of the owners, speaks volumes about his character, and shows integrity. We as employees, need to constantly be aware that when you are speaking with the public, you are not only representing yourself....but the company who signs your paycheck. Your behavior; good or bad, is a reflection on the company. Always represent the company in a manner that you would want someone to represent you, IF you were the owner, and that's with respect and dignity. Sincere thanks again to Mr. Somer. I consider myself a pretty good judge of character, and I felt nothing but sincerity from our conversation. I would have loved to work with him, and would definitely reach out to him personally if the need occurred again in the future, or if a friend or loved one needed assistance. Blessings. (Update ended). (Original post): I called this establishment and was transferred to someone named Robin Smith (Robyn). She informed me that she may stop me from time to time to ask questions, and I was totally fine with that. However, at one point she stopped me to ask a question, then she acted as though I was on a witness stand, and started drilling me; actually in a drill sergeant manner, on why 'I' didn't do several things, in which it was more about what my employer; specifically my immediate supervisor, didn't do as a person in control and in a paid position of authority. Once she stopped talking, I was able to explain and go on with the story. She then wanted to know if my employer was paying certain things, then her next statement was 'what do you want us to do'? I have a Masters and started my PhD this year, regardless of title and/or degree, sometimes we simply have to be quiet and LISTEN. If I did not warrant the need for a professional, I would not waste their time, nor mines. However, if you insist on talking more than listening, then there will be vital information you will miss. I ended up telling her 'thank you, have a nice day', and hung up. It's apparent that their firm, at least by her narrow minded conclusion, did not want to handle my case, therefore, I was able to reach out to 2 other firms who were more than happy to listen! I chose one of them and signed the papers today! EASY BREEZY! My suggestion to this young lady and her employer, is to get her some treatment for 'FNM syndrome': FOOT IN MOUTH SYNDROME, get some humility and Please send her to classes; several of them, for effective communication and active listening! So the next time she causes your firm to miss out on an opportunity, due to FNM, perhaps, just perhaps, she will stop, inhale, exhale, and think twice. Thank you kindly~
