We worked with Stephanie M. Sauer, on our adoption of three sisters whom we had guardianship of. At the time we received guardianship the girls were ages 3 months, 5 years and 8 years. When the girls were 2, 7 and 10 years we decided we needed to move from guardianship to adoption. We were told by other lawyers that our case was would be very hard because we were not related to these girls and also because of our age. The girls had lead a very hard life and their natural parents had many problems that they were unable to overcome, but still the natural parents did not want to give up their rights. When we talked to Ms Sauer and explained the the details of how the children had came to be in our custody she took our case. Ms. Sauer was outstanding, and made us feel confident in court. She was very professional. In the end Ms. Sauer won our case when other lawyers had said it would be nearly impossible. Ms. Sauer was outstanding and I would highly recommend her. We now have the wonderful addition to our family of 3 wonderful daughters who are doing fantastic and are now ages 6, 11 and 14 years.

The first attorney I went to was so unresponsive I finally gave up. Then I found Josh and I am so glad. He is fair, knowledgeable, and really helped me consider what was best in the long run. I didn't feel like my case was cookie cutter.
