If only you could give less than 1 star... My elderly, Army retired father was hospitalized for more than a week at the Dewitt Army Hospital on Ft Belvoir. During that time, there were some legal documents that needed to be signed. We were trying to get a special power of attorney to complete my father's business. Oddly enough, the legal office at the hospital said they could not do it. So, we called Ft Belvoir JAG. They, too, said they could not provide the service as my father could not leave the hospital. It's a shame, but fine. The problem is the attitude that comes with asking questions. The attorney who i spoke with (didn't catch her name), but she snidely told me she was an attorney, was plain rude. She informed me that when my father joined the military he was not promised legal services for the rest of his life. I'm not sure what she intended, but I took it as, he's retired and I have nothing to do with that. She was not helpful nor willing to give me suggestions as to how I could accomplish the necessary paperwork. Therefore, I checked the website for the JAG and it states: Mission Statement: Deliver principled, responsive counsel and mission-focused legal services to the Garrison Command and Staff; to Soldiers, Families, Civilians, and Retirees; and to designated Partner organizations. I'm pretty sure that retirees means that they are able to ask for legal counsel for the rest of their lives. Honestly, if he hadn't been hospitalized on Ft Belvoir, I would have looked elsewhere. But, why not use what is right there on post?

Best people and staff there is, be patient with the staff. The ones who stayed working there are doing their best.

Walked in for a general POA. Erika was the one that provided us all the information we needed. She explained everything to us step by step. Once completed she was the same that notarized our POA. We were out the door in 15mins or less.

I had a really good experience here today. I just needed some basic assistance (POA) and was on my way in less than 20 minutes. The Staff was very helpful and I appreciate how they operate. Just take a few seconds to read the signs posted on the door, follow those instructions and you will be G2G.

If you want ZERO service, go ahead and waste your time at this office.

Today this office proved to me how terrible of a practice the attorney runs. They have no intention to do their jobs and will always push you away. Will this office ever be investigated?! I challenge all who have time to write a review to also fill out an ICE card and inform the Post Commander/Command Sergeant Major of this major disservice to our military community. They have no shame. And will attempt to blame you for their incompetencies. Shame..

Poor customer service for years now. The paralegal doesn't want to do his job. Needs a new staff

Based on their office COVID restrictions, this office lacks adequate customer support.

I had a 10 a.m. telephone consultation scheduled and nobody called. When I call, it just goes to voicemail - there is no way to actually talk to a person. Poor quality service.
