Where to begin? This case was as serious as they come: a criminal case with a sentence of 20 years to life for a Class 2 felony, if convicted. From the beginning, Eric Demetriades level-set expectations and began producing results. The first thing he did was get some of the bond restrictions dropped, which provided freedom of movement for me and the ability to find new employment. He constantly worked to gather evidence to mount our defense. He kept me informed every step of the way and was a friend and confidant to my wife, helping her to understand aspects of the case that were at times vague and difficult for lay people to comprehend. It became apparent to us quickly Eric knew everybody, everywhere. He was well-received by everyone we saw him interacting with, which was a plus for us. He was available to us at any time and for any reason. In the Courtroom, Eric always spoke with an air of confidence, with a booming voice that resonated within the Court, almost as if to carry the weight of certainty in anything he said. He was prepared with strategy and also did his homework. He had ample resources available to bolster his case. He was able to find an Expert Witness who ultimately pushed our case across the finish line. He had investigative services that also helped provide oppo research which was used to gain leverage in the case. He was pragmatic in his approach to solving and dealing with issues. He did not sugarcoat any of the problems we faced, and he was upfront about possible outcomes. He was also very clear about his fee schedule and what we were getting for the money we paid; there were no unpleasant surprises in the billing; it was as discussed at the start. He gathered all the evidence, pulled everything together into one cohesive case and was a total professional expert in presenting it to the Prosecution. After what seemed like a lifetime waiting for the outcome...today I am a free man because of the diligence of Eric Demetriades. He will put in the time and the work to keep you free. Eric is an excellent attorney. He was available right away and relived a lot of stress after my son got a reckless driving ticket.
