When I first retained the services of Witbeck Bennet, I felt confident that they understood my case. However, after having it drag out for over a year and cost me close to $15,000 I ended up with an absolutely TERRIBLE outcome in court. My case involved my four children’s father, who has an ongoing criminal and drug problem being given unsupervised visitation. The ability for me to request drug testing removed. Their father had always had supervised visitation with lots of safety language written into the order. It was completely shocking that after not seeing them for two years and him admitting to two “false positive” drug test results while on felony probation that he was given so much access back into our lives. The kids are terrified and their mood change has been noticed by teachers and everybody in their lives. The judge also ordered a temporary suspension of child support payments. I was assured my attorney would still be there to answer questions for me, but when my money ran out, so did their responses.

I was appointed a lawyer in August of 2023 and wound up with their attorney, Amber Patwell. She spoke to me once, hung up on me and blocked my number despite the fact she continues to represent me for some reason. She has multiple felony charges, lost her children, and has documented brain damage. Multiple calls to the office of Whitbeck Bennet remain unanswered. Currently filing complaints with the bar association, but that does nothing in the way of my absent legal defense.
