Kim is one of the best divorce lawyers in the area in my opinion. My case involved a high conflict person with personality disorders who manipulated our son and the system to her advantage. After having another lawyer not present my evidence at trial, I hired her. She stands out because she became intimately involved with my case, was available for offering advice on off-hours, knows technology, was realistic, knew how to negotiate, and helped me change my perspective for better results. Kim was able to get me the best results, and now offers an effective and potentially fruitful path forward that may get my son back.

I am a NY attorney who required local representation in Virginia. I researched local Manassas firms and chose Ms. Luckey’s. Although a relatively minor civil motion, she devoted close and expedited attention to the matter and obtained a favorable resolution. I recommend her and her firm without reservation. I initially met with Kim in October of 2019. I was impressed with her knowledge and understanding. I appreciated her amiable demeanor. She took everything in stride. I deposited a retainer that same day. I don't think I could have supplied Ms. Kimberly Luckey a more frustrating case. She managed it beyond my expectations. My case was difficult and lengthy. Covid was the main reason that it was lengthy because the court system was shut down for a while. I needed a conclusion to my marriage. Marital drama did not take a Covid break. I threw information left and right at Kim, not knowing what was relevant for her. In times of emergency, I received immediate service which was a blessing. There were mental health concerns in my case which made it difficult. I employed Kim Luckey's first choice for a forensic psychologist. This person was very capable but was delayed by lack of cooperation from my opposing party and this person's father passing away at a critical moment. Even with the late entry of an expert designation unlikely, it was allowed for late hearing with Kim's capable efforts. There were other factors which Kim took notice and advantage of resulting in pressure being applied which had the effect of the opposing party finally agreeing to seek a settlement one week before trial. This was in early February of 2022. She was very well organized and never missed a beat. Thanks to Kim Luckey and the Daugherty Law Firm, I have now obtained joint legal and physical custody of my 2 boys and 2 girls. I couldn't have done it without Kim. Kim Luckey is an amazing lawyer as well as a caring, kind and giving person. She did not just represent me, but she really listened and understood what i was going through. I had my daughter taken away from me by her father for 43 days. It was like getting my heart ripped out of my body. Kim was very confident that i would be able to get full custody until the day of the trial when we were placed before a judge who was known for never giving full custody to a single parent. but even then Kim was straightforward in giving me the information yet remained undaunted in achieving an optimal outcome. It was down to the last seconds in the trial that Kim's argument won the judge over. She fought for me and my daughter like we were family. That day i was able to take my baby home.I will never be able to thank her enough.
