Jennifer was always in contact with me to follow up things with me. She was ahead of me in many instances. She was so smart in her ideas as was on a regular follow up.

When I moved to Virginia, I was looking for an Immigration attorney who can file work permit application (recently published by USCIS) for me. It was a dream come true when I first met Jennifer on March 6, 2017. She listened to my case with patience, when I was telling her my story after facing domestic violence. Being a single mom, I told her how important was for me to get an independent work permit when I was about to lose the work status after divorce. She believed in me and assured me that she will file the work permit using the new form very soon. She really committed to her words and worked so quick to file my work permit application. She was so responsive to all the updates/ emails related to my case throughout my application process. When finally, at last, I received my work permit, Jennifer was so generous that she personally planned so that I receive my work permit card safely not through the mail. I can say that Jennifer is not only a good Immigration attorney but she is truly a good human being.I wish her all the success in her life.

Very knowledgeable with a great way of explaining very technical information to the layperson. David was to the point, and didn't waste any time, while still fully explaining all information presented.

I got in touch with Jennifer Varughese last year after reading her reviews in Avvo. At the time I met her, I was already working with another Lawyer but not happy with the existing lawyer's ability to write effectively. This is an incredibly important aspect given that almost every immigration matter is contested administratively using written documents (affidavits, legal briefs etc.). Also, the original lawyer was 4 hours away and that added unneeded headache on my part when trying to get an in-person appointment. I am very glad I made a decision to meet Jennifer. As soon as I walked out of her office, I knew I was going to retain her as my counsel and I'm very glad that I did. It changed the course of my case with a positive outcome. It's also worth noting that I met with 4 immigration lawyers prior to settling with Jennifer as my counsel. Without getting into too much detail, my case was related to N400 application that took almost 4 years to get resolved. During the N-400 application process, I had to respond to a NOID, followed by a Denial Letter, and finally followed up by a N-336 hearing. During the hearing, Jennifer represented me and help me argue my case with the immigration officer (IO). After the hearing, IO was satisfied to a point where he reversed the prior denial and adjudicated my case in my favor. My case had an extensive factual events that went back almost 17 years. From the get-go I knew the USCIS had misinterpreted some of the facts in my case, but in order to meet all the burden I needed someone who can concisely and precisely articulate the factual events in the context of Immigration Law. In my opinion, this is an important aspect of administrative law and should be considered my everyone who is dealing with the USCIS. Jennifer is an excellent writer. She has an uncanny ability to take an event or fact from your case and concisely articulate that event along with the immigration law within her legal brief. Trust me, not everyone has the ability to articulate the fact in the context of law. This ability to write gives you an excellent legal advantage, especially if your case is complicated and extensive. Other benefits I have observed by Hiring Jennifer. 1. Jennifer and her team are extremely professional. You go to see a lawyer when you're in distress and need help. You definitely do not want to hire someone who is unprofessional and gives you run around for your money. 2. Very honest while charging time against your case. I'm very impressed on how transparent and thorough their billing process is. 3. Communication! Jennifer and her team are excellent at keeping their clients posted on the status of the case. During the time Jennifer worked on my case, she frequently emailed me or call me with any questions that she had. I really like the fact that she was getting the information directly from me and not through her paralegal(s). IMO, this was very impressive and equally effective pertaining my case. 4. Interview Preparation - Jennifer also took time to go over some of the possible questions that could be asked during the hearing. I felt that I was ready after our preparation meeting was over. 5. Detail Oriented - During my hearing, I forgot to mention my travel/re-entry dates going back 10 years. This fact was important because it could have given information to the IO to adjudicate my case sooner in my favor. Without any delay, she wrote a follow up note the very next day and faxed it the USCIS office in care of IO and I received my Oath letter 4 weeks later. I finally became a citizen of the United States as I've wanted for many years. I can finally participate in the political process after living in this country for 17 years. Now it really feels like home. Finally, I would highly recommend Jennifer Varughese to anyone who needs an immigration counsel due to her expertise, attention to detail and ability to understand your situation and build a case that is most appropriate.
