Terrible Attention to my case after they blew thru a $2000 retainer they sent me a bill for every breath they took while failing to represent. They even charged me to send me a bill for calling me on the phone & then put it on my credit even though they were paid in advance saying I owed them money???

Everyone was sincere, helpful, responsive, and I always felt that my minor issue mattered to them.

I went to this office based on reviews from here and just general knowledge found online. While the staff was pleasant, I was told verbally by Julie Cillo attorney that my separation agreement and divorce could be done easily for the retainer required of $1500.00 This was a bold lie, I was charged that and easily 500 more for just the separation agreement to be executed, and the reason being, because of the wording change, and communication between Ms. Cillo and her minions, which by the way are nice and do all the work. I am still getting billed for ludicrous charges and was told to get the divorce final it would at least be an additional 750 dollars to what I had already forked out!. This company doesn't care, makes up rediculous charges to suck dry a retainer and cares nothing about a client's budget or hardships. Do not get them to represent you unless you have money to throw away. I feel violated by these people and feel there is no way of getting justice.

Erica took a very challenging experience and made it a seamless matter from beginning to end. I appreciated her sensitivity to the emotional strain and trusted her counsel. The result was ideal. I would not hesitate to recommend Erica; her professionalism, attention to short-term and long-term needs of her client, and perhaps most importantly bedside manner provided throughout the process were excellent.

The previous review was written by my ex, who was not represented by this firm. Though he was responsible for reimbursing me for the invoices per our agreement, I was the client. I cannot express how helpful Ms. Skiba-Rokosky was throughout this entire process. She was friendly, personable, and extremely knowledgeable and professional. Owen and Owens has received numerous awards in the area, and their hourly rates are comparable (even lower) to other firms in the region, as I made several calls to area law firms to inquire about rates before choosing Owen and Owens. This was not a “cut and dry” marital settlement agreement, as it involved property outside of the state with numerous stipulations between the parties regarding the sale. Ms. Skiba-Rokosky was very diligent and made sure the wording was appropriate to reflect the needs of the property and the timeframe involved. I would definitely recommend this firm!

VERY expensive law firm; downright outrageous. You can do better...especially in Richmond. They'll charge you $50-$75 per e-mail that you send them even if you are merely answering a question. They'll charge you another $38 to have a meeting on your case (that's a meeting between the lawyer and her secretary over basic items). $10 for a notary that's free at a bank. If there's a phone call, the amount could get outrageous quick. I'd highly recommend going to someone else, otherwise, standby to spend a fortune. No case, especially as simple as mine was, will be under $2,000. ....and if they mess something up, you'll pay for it.

My experience with Mr. Joe Owen & Kimberly Skiba have been positive. They listen to what I had to say. Responded to my phone calls & emails. Knew the law and quickly stood up to The Commissioner of Accounts blocking my every effort to claim monies from my family. This is the only law firm you need in the state of Virginia. My cousin had recommended Owen & Owens after other law firms had let me down. Thank you for being ethical.
