I’m an Attorney with over 10 years of experience and when I need to refer a case I only look for the best. Mr. Berry has an in-depth knowledge of developing creative case strategies of the ever-changing demands of the legal field. He is a seasoned professional capable of coming ready to go from day one. Mr. Berry, is and always will be the right choice.

Five months ago, an employment issue arose for me which necessitated the need for legal representation. I knew that I would need an attorney with expertise in state employment law. So I did my research and selected John Berry because of all of the wonderful things that I read about his knowledge of the law. This experience has taught me that abundant knowledge of the law is of course exceedingly important when seeking out legal representation, but that alone isn’t what makes an individual an exceptional attorney. John is an exceptional attorney. Not only is he an expert in his field, with abundant knowledge of the law, but he also exudes empathy for the client. As a forensic psychologist, I work with attorneys every day, and I can say that John is a rarity in the best of ways. I haven’t come across many that show true empathy for others. I always felt that John took the time to listen to my thoughts and feelings and that was extremely important to me during a highly stressful time. I never felt that he talked “to” me, but rather “with” me. He provided advice but always asked for my thoughts. I highly recommend him. He is not only a great attorney, but also a great person.

Kim Berry and Lance Fortney are the most outstanding lawyers at presenting an OPM case that involved federal employees health benefits (FEHB) combined with a federal CSRS retirement. We were successful in my case, and my FEHB benefits have been restored. Kim and Lance wrote the best letter I have ever seen. The letter was sent to OPM, and it was for a waiver of the 5-year rule. A very well crafted letter can only come from articulate authors that are fully knowledgeable of the situation, and with experience to get the job done.

I worked with Kimberly. She was there for me every step of the way. The resolution was more than anticipated. The situation I found myself in was horrid but she was compassionate as well as competent. Would highly recommend

A great group of lawyers

I definitely would recommend. John and his team are a class-act. I was surprised at John’s wide range of experience and ability to look at the big picture. He carefully listens to you and appropriately advises. Plus, his demeanor is calm, professional, rational, and not like some other lawyers I’ve had to deal with (which I ended up wishing I didn’t have to). He’s a DC gem!! As a former Federal union Chairman, John Berry served as our General Council for many years. Largely in part of his knowledge and expertise of representing federal (and non-federal) employees, we were successfully able to provide our membership the protections and assistance anyone would expect. Often, the results exceeded my expectations. Without fail, John and his associates never hesitate to go the extra mile to resolve a case in the best interest of the client. One of the "little things" that our members noted was the feeling of having someone take an interest in their issue not just as a client, but as a person.
