Rude, condescending, and completely unhelpful. The "law professional" who took my call was extremely unprofessional, cutting me off several times when I was answering his questions and claiming I "didn't have a case" before I'd even had a chance to give him information about said case. Of course, he made sure to mention several times that his firm charges $400/hr. Unless you are wealthy and enjoy being talked down to, I advise you to steer clear of Roberts and Associates. They care about money, not about your case. In his response to another reviewer's negative Google review, the owner of this law firm cited the 13th amendment and literally compared taking on an unwanted case with slavery! These are not professionals. I recommend looking into Virginia Poverty Law Center for great pro-bono and low cost legal advice and representation.

Mr. Roberts is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable on landlord/tenant law (what my case falls under). He gave me excellent information and advice during our initial consultation. He was to the point with the facts, not opinionated, as the previous review alleges. What makes him stand out from the rest is how he texts you the information as he is verbally giving it you, so you do not forget or feel pressured to rush to take detailed notes. He made me feel important and cared for because he took my call immediately and answered all my questions thoroughly. His website is also very helpful, especially the section about how to represent yourself, which is what I will be doing due to financial limitations. However, if I need an attorney to represent me in the future, he will be the person I reach out to first!

I have marked this law firm for future references because the level of service I received was beyond superb. My current case is pending but if I need an Attorney this is the firm I will choose to represent me. They took the time to hear my case without any fees and gave great advice. To find an Attorney willing to speak with you and share information at no cost initially doesn’t happen often in civil matters. I’m grateful personally. If you need and Attorney for your claim I highly recommend contacting this firm.

I had inquired Tom Robert's about a civil rights case. He straight out of the gate in responding to me was rude, condescending, and very unprofessional. He didn't even try to listen to.my case/situation. He shouldn't be in.this career if he doesn't want to help people with their cases.

Absolutely horrible experience! I called to inquire information about my rights and my daughter's rights which were violated! I was talked to like I was incompetent and as if I was the one who had done something wrong! Very condensending! Keep your personal opinions and beliefs at home and do your job! Should not be talking to potential clients in the way that was done to me! Seems like your not for the people or willing to fight for them! Shame on you and your practice! I will turn anyone away who considers using this firm!
