We have a very positive and rewarding experience with Alicia Finley, one of the attorneys at Barnes & Diehl. Our case was very complex and complicated because as grandparents we were seeking visiting privileges and eventually custody of our granddaughter. We had moved here from Greensboro, NC because the father had retained custody of the child after being absent from the child's life almost from birth. We were underrepresented by our attorney in Greensboro. We met first with the owner of the firm and he recommended Ms. Finley. She stepped in and took the time to understand and appreciate our granddaughter's situation. She took the time to get to know us and the role we had played in her life. The legal process took from 2018 to 2021 when we secured full physical and legal custody of our granddaughter. Ms. Finley leveraged her expertise and supported our mission. Most importantly, she is skilled in the legal processes and her court presence and knowledge played a significant role in this positive outcome. Her help in navigating the legal situation proved to be a key factor in getting what was the best for our grandchild. We both highly recommend her for any family domestic and custody needs that require legal attention.

My experience in the custody court has been a rollercoaster of emotions, but Harris Lenier at Barnes & Diehl has helped me feel confident about the process and prepared for the hearing since our first consultation. As a single father trying to retain custody, I'm told frequently by anyone I discuss my situation with that the system is stacked against me, and going to court is an uphill battle; however, working with Mr. Lenier has made me feel like any bias the system may have was totally irrelevant. Throughout the preparation process Mr. Lenier did an excellent job of keeping me informed of what outcomes were possible, while giving an accurate assessment of what he thought was likely. He came to the hearing more prepared than I would have thought possible, and presented the evidence I provided as well as the relevant case law he had researched with absolute professionalism and confidence. I was able to leave the hearing feeling like no angle was missed and everything relevant was covered. Thankfully the case has been decided in my favor so far, but even if I had lost my case, I would've left the courtroom feeling like every effort possible was made by Mr. Lenier and the team at Barnes and Diehl to succeed. I would sincerely recomend their services to anyone going through a custody case.

I have had the pleasure of working with Anne Roddy since 1/2020 (and we are still pushing forward with my case). She is absolutely amazing in the courtroom, professional and attached to the goals you may have. Anne has called me after hours on several occasions just to review my case and she travelled SIX HOURS to represent me. I originally contacted this office for a consultant on a military divorce on Feb 4 asking them to email me to schedule. I immediately received a phone call, which would have been great if I hadn't specifically ask to email me instead. When I returned the call I left a message with the office administrator Cathy Patton and awaited her return call. In the meantime I had emailed a bit of my backstory and how I had encounter very cold and matter of fact lawyers and was looking for someone with compassion since I was going through such a tough time since I have been married almost 30 years. When Cathy called back there was no sympathy, no I'm sorry you are going through this, just I need facts. When I didn't have an answer to her questions she continued to be harsh and seemed annoyed with me at the fact I was upset and trying to hold it together while on the phone. That contact was on the 9th of February. I emailed Ms Patton on the 11th asking if there was anything else I need before a consultation could be scheduled, but no response. I then called the morning of the 12th and left a voice message, and on the 15th to no avail. I am so disappointed by this process.

Lawyer Harris Leiner served me extremely well! TWICE! In my original divorce proceedings, and my recent retirement seeking reduced spousal support. My divorce was controversial in that my ex-wife fought us at every turn, many times against her own good. We had a long marriage, and I accept my part in its failing, so I chose to push to look after her in our divorce agreements. Harris understood my approach, and guided me to the best outcome, helping me not to be sucked into her ugliness and unreasonableness, staying under control and exercizing dignity throughout the process. I imaging this is not a usual approach Harris has been requested to take, but he handled it beautifully. Because of tgis lady that charged me over 20k and threatened to sue me if I disnt pay up, and whose advice on my ex husband who physically abused me snd I told her he strangled me and I got a protective order, her idiotic advice never allowed me to see my daughters again because she is so naive that with a physical abuser, she doesnt even know tgat rhey play hard ball against women they abuse during a divorce. Please, do not use her as a lawyer, ladies

From the day I hired Ron Evans, I knew I was in good hands and could breathe a sigh of relief. I was married for over 20 years so this divorce was not easy. I didn't know where to turn or what to do.
