We hired Mr. Gick to defend our son who received a speeding ticket traveling 90 in a 65. I was driving through Virginia on a work trip and was subsequently pulled over for reckless driving. My family and I were traveling back from visiting family in the Roanoke area over thanksgiving weekend. I was driving and a state trooper pulled me over for driving at 83 mph in a 55 zone. Instead of a speeding ticket, I got a court summons. When we did some research we found that I had been given a summons for a class 1 misdemeanor. Turns out in the state of Virginia the speeding rules are very strict. We called many lawyers and all roads and reviews led us to Mr. Gick. He said he’d have me do community service, and an 8 hour traffic school and that since I was from out of state, he’d represent me and that I wouldn’t have to come to court. Without his expertise and guidance, we would not have achieved the best outcome possible for our son’s reckless driving speeding violation (92 mph in a posted 70 mph zone) in Botetourt, Virginia. This is a criminal charge in Virginia. It is a class one misdemeanor, the same as assault and battery, shoplifting, or DUI. The judge could punish with up to 12 months in jail, a $2500 fine, and suspension of one's privilege to drive in Virginia for six months. Mr. Gick quickly provided an action plan and our son did everything he advised to help put him in the best position for trial. Mr. Gick successfully convinced the judge to reduce the charge from criminal reckless driving down to a non-criminal speeding ticket. We paid a $200 fine plus $91 in court costs.
