Had a bad experience with this attorney in a business litigation case, the guy has no energy, not sure if it’s his age or what but regardless of which, he shouldn’t have accepted the case in the beginning if he knew he couldn’t handle it. He accepted the case, worked many hours on it, which we were charged for, and then when it came down to putting the gloves on and getting in the ring, he simply says, I’ve got a lot of work and no time for this case!!!... mind you this is after thousands of dollars spent to pay this attorney for this case. I’m pretty sure this attorney would do well in small cases but if you need something that needs energy and a fight, this isn’t the right guy. Find someone else. PS: He’s also pricey, and likes to waste time during meetings, a 30 minute meeting ends up being an hour, so then your charged for a full hour!

I feel extremely fortunate to have worked with the team at Fishwick & Associates. At every step, I felt that Mr. Fishwick, Ms. Ching, and Ms. Guthrie were including me in deliberations, sharing knowledge and strategy, and working hours upon hours to prepare (well in advance of deadlines). They researched every angle, lined up and questioned all potential witnesses, gathered photos and other evidence, and guided my interactions with the press. I've worked with Rick & Michelle Derrico on many occasions. They have assisted me with legal matters related to a rental property I own, with real estate contract issues my clients have confronted, and with Homeowner Association issues, where I'm the treasurer. Rick is an engaging fellow. He not only has years of experience as a trial lawyer, he has a depth of life experience to draw upon that enables him to provide advice on a broad array of topics. He has helped me write and amend Wills and other documents. He knows the law but is also quite adept at explaining the ins and outs of legal practice. There's always something he's thought of that hadn't occurred to me, something that should be included or might better be left out. Though he appears to have a thriving practice, he's generally available on short notice, almost always quick to return a phone call if he's not immediately available. I genuinely enjoy my conversations with Rick.

Rick helped me with both personal and professional legal work. I worked through divorce with Rick and he always had good advice which accounted for the various parties in the situation including the children. I appreciated his consideration of my kids along with my best interest. He does this in a non-judgmental manner. Likewise, as a business owner, Rick was an invaluable extension of my team. He made sure I understood how to structure my business entity and then worked to continue protecting my interests as I hired employees, negotiated contracts, and planned for the future. Mr. Derrico got an 80 year old, complicated trust dissolved for my extended family. The trust had tied up significant family real estate for generations. His work was excellent, professional and at a reasonable cost. He was knowledgable about both real estate and trust law and was comprehensive in his approach. Because the trust was so old, ignored by the family for generations, involved lost historical documents, and involved the wills of my father, uncle and grandmother, we were worried about the end result. But the judge was impressed with the case work/documents he put together and took just a few minutes to rule in our favor, dissolving the trust. His firm has also done all our routine legal work - wills, powers of attorney, living wills, etc. We're happy with all the work they've done for us.

Richard has handled all of our business and personal legal affairs for over 30 years. I can't recommend him strongly enough.
