I had the good fortune and privilege of legal representation by Robert H. Cox (“Bob”) in a matter before a professional state regulatory board. As an attorney, myself, my respect and appreciation of Bob grew throughout his representation. Bob represents the very best of what we expect from our legal profession and his stellar ranking as an attorney by the profession is well deserved. Bob’s legal skills, broad and deep knowledge of the law, and “people skills” are apparent. My particular matter involved very complex and convoluted facts which Bob was able to ferret out the relevant facts to cite in support. I had two court matters that Ms. Bradley worked on and Ms. Aoun worked on for me. I was very pleased with the result of both matters the court ruled on. Back in July I provided my contact information and a description of what happened under the 'Contact Us' on the website. I thought I would get a call within a couple of days so that I could schedule an appointment to speak with a lawyer. Never happened. I called them after a week. The secretary couldn't find me in their system. I asked if they are the kind of lawyers who sue companies. I was told yes. I gave the secretary my information and said I would like to buy an hour of consultation with a lawyer to see if I have a case. I was told the legal team would review and I should receive a call back within a couple days to schedule an appointment. Never got a call back. I called again and secretary told me they remember me but legal team hasn't reviewed my file yet. I'm still waiting.

Teresa Cole handled my divorce trial and she did amazing. The most important thing for me was to stay in the house and she got it for me! She got me the support I needed, everything! I can't say enough about her!

She thinks much more highly of herself than she actually is. She did not prepare me for trial and told me that this case would be easy to deal with. She underestimated my retainer fee. I’m sure she is fine for mediation but not for trial. After I fired Teresa I found a much better lawyer.

I felt she had a very good understanding of my complex case in relatively short consultation. Gave very good insight, suggested possible strategies, and gave realistic expectations for a very high conflict situation and explained all the legalese in a way I could easily understand and with a very compassionate demeanor. I wanted to hire her but I think due to who the opposing counsel was, she didn’t want to take my case.

I used this lawyer for my separation and divorce from my wife and she convinced me to sign a separation agreement that pays my soon to be ex-wife spousal support (an amount equals one third of my paycheck each month) for a period of up to one year. After 6 months of paying spousal support I find out that the agreement didn't specify any end date and the spousal support payments are valid until the divorce is final or until my ex finds a full time job. I ended up dropping her immediately as she got me stuck to an agreement which drained my pocket plus having to pay all the lawyer fees. Also, my ex acted as if she was trying to look for a full time job and only got her self a part time job and took advantage of this deal and continued to get spousal support from me for almost two years now. Absolute outstanding representation. Ms Cole represented me in an interstate custody battle to regain custody of my son after eight years. Her knowledge of the law, attention to detail, and tireless preparation before trial resulted in a one-sided victory in court, when the obstacles appeared insurmountable going in. In court, she was nothing short of amazing...controlled, agressive, and extremely quick on her feet, Ms Cole was able to paint the opposition into corner after corner, and seize on multiple pop-up opportunities that smashed the underpinnings of their case. Following the case, Ms Cole and her staff were equally adept at taking care of the details of visitation and child support. They dealt with what, in my personal opinion, was questionable behavior with impressive grace, without ever leaving the high road or loasing the advantage. They answered insult, bluster, and trickery, with professionalism, cool patience, and agressive application of the Virginia Code to mantain the advantage. Ms Cole earned every penny her firm billed. All calls were returned within hours, documents were prepared and filed within days, and she or her staff would personally deliver documents and filings to the courthouse to ensure they were received and negotiate with the clerks to expedite the process. Her billing was fair, and each month, I received a detailed account of exactly where the money was spent. She used paralegals and associate attorneys whereever practical to reduce costs, and in the end, the cost, while not cheap, was it was well worth it. By expediting the trial process and reducing the out-of-court nonsense, she saved me tens of thousands of dollars.
