I’ve worked in the law-enforcement field for 40 years now , worked even in the court system but never seen a law firm like the Edge Firm , my attorney was Ben Hamlet he was very knowledgeable very kind considerate and it felt like a friend was helping me not a lawyer. He did a fantastic job , I can’t say anything negative whatsoever about Ben Hamlet or the Edge law firm , I would recommend them for any need you may have …..call them first , I know I will.

My experience working with Damian was positive. He provided me with the knowledgeable information relevant to my case and was always available and responsive to questions I had throughout the entire process. Our case never went to trial, and I thank Damian for that. He made sure I walked away from my divorce with everything that I was entitled to. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. If you are looking for a lawyer, who is devoted, competent, and gets things done, he is your dude. It’s also a plus, that the staff at Edge Law are all very friendly and responsive. Overall, it was a great experience.

I unfortunately have dealt with an unpleasant divorce and custody situation for about 5 years. I went through 3 different attorneys in the Richmond/Northern Neck area. With none of my interests really being taken care of and a whole lot of things happening to me in court that no one else had even heard of (presumably because I’m a man.) My ex decided to move to Virginia Beach and took my little one with her. Our case being transferred to Virginia Beach, I had no clue who to call there for representation. I have spent over $100k in attorney fees the past 5 years and absolutely nothing changed! That was until I met Kathleen Edge and Ben Hamlet. With their attention to detail. With their FAIR pricing and most of all their knowledge of the laws and the area they work in, I am happy to say that they represented me in a way I have not been before! They were great! Best of all we didn’t have to go to court which was wonderful. Although, I will say I felt they had my best interest at heart and if I did have to go to court then I would’ve felt confident going with them by my side! I highly recommend Edge Law to anyone having to deal with a divorce or a custody situation! I’m speaking from my heart when I say this. Divorce sucks! Our children are really affected! Paying someone thousands of dollars of your hard earned money and not getting results is just the worst! I’ve been there and done that! I never felt that way with Edge Law! Don’t waste your time. This has to be the most disgusting law practice I’ve ever come across. Unprofessional and disrespectful in every way. As much as I wanted to give them the benefit of doubt, they only got worse with my every attempt to allow them to make things right. If you’re looking for legal help please don’t ever think twice about their services. You’ll be highly disappointed! Everything went great up until I paid my retainer. From there I was placed on the back burner constantly. Wasted my money. I could’ve used that retainer fee for a better law firm!

Do not retain Damian Garcia or go to edge law for any legal help especially if you are a female. He started by inappropriately commenting on my outfit and I extremely regret going there. He kept hugging me and asked me to meet him outside of the office multiple times. Even offering to meet me half way in between Richmond and Virginia Beach. When I denied his advances he ignored my emails asking for help with my matter. He did not even finish settling the matter so I asked for my retainer back. After multiple emails and calls to the office they said they would mail me a check. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! I called complaining about not receiving my funds and unwanted advances and non services from Damian. Ms.Edge was condescending. Acting like she did not believe me and informed me she was secure enough of a person to never assume someone was hitting on her. I’m sure based on my interaction with her that may in fact be true. Good for her having a woman’s back! I feel it was inappropriate for a man in a position of power to act in the manner he has and I just wanted my money back. 0/10.
