Scott is the "above and beyond" kind of lawyer! We ran into a very difficult situation during a real estate transaction where one party decided to breach the contract leaving a family in shambles. Scott stepped in and guided us towards a resolution. Without his help the sale and purchase of my clients home would have never happened! I would 100% recommend Scott to anyone, specially when it comes down to real estate! 10/10!

We were facing a significant encroachment issue on our property. Our neighbor had fenced in almost 700 square feet of our land and planted very large trees on the land and absolutely refused to remove the encroaching fence and plants. After trying to resolve the matter amicably for several months we sought the assistance of WRG and we hired Scott to represent us. Since this was our neighbor we did not want to have the Virginia Courts decide the case. Scott listed attentively, reviewed all the documents we could provide including photos and assured us that our neighbor was in violation of Virginia property laws. He advised us to treat the matter as if we may have to go to court since our neighbor was unwilling to cooperate and insisted they bore no responsibility for the encroachment because our fence was not on the property line. He offered to speak with our neighbor and explain the law to him in an attempt to gain his cooperation but out neighbor refused to confer with him. Scott prepared a demand letter explaining the law and what actions they had to take to remedy the situation. They responded to the letter but continued to resist removing the encroachment, saying it was our fault for not having our fence on the property line. Scott prepared and sent a second letter detailing the law and their responsibilities. This letter was superbly worded and gave them more than the usual time to comply with our demand to remove both their fence and plantings. They complied! There was a significant encroachment on our property which include plantings, trees and a fence. Although the letters accomplished their purpose and kept us from filing suit Scott was prepared to go to court with every aspect of the situation thoroughly researched and documented. Scott understood that filing suit against a neighbor was not the best way to handle this matter and patiently pursued a resolution.
