I was impressed with Marcus even from the initial telephone conversation. I was pleasantly pleased by his professionalism and genuine concern he displayed. During the consultation, Marcus handled my issues with diligence and compassion. He is extremely thorough and even uncovered other items of importance that I was not previously aware of. His commitment to doing what is best for his client displays the type of integrity you would want in your attorney. I truly appreciated his advice and direction he gave me and would highly recommend him to handle your legal matters as well.

I hired Mr. Mitchell to assist with the very sad but necessary eviction of a family member from a townhouse. Mr. Mitchell was always prompt, courteous and professional in all our communication, which was made more challenging due to me living out of state. He informed me thoroughly of my legal rights and responsibilities and of legal actions to be taken in various circumstances. He coached me well in how to communicate with the family member tenant in order to comply with the law and get the best outcome. He took care of serving the tenant the written notice. And because of this, we a had the best outcome considering the very difficult and unfortunate circumstances. Should I need a lawyer in VA Beach again, I will definitely reach out to him.

Hired to handle my divorce. Was a cut and dry case but he made it easy. He was always willing to help and easy to get a hold of.

I originally went with another law firm thinking that Marcus worked there. I changed my representation when I realized he was no longer there, and I couldn't have made the change sooner. Marcus was my lawyer for a little over a year, and he eventually got me a 60/40 split while I faced falsified protection orders, multiple different falsified criminal charges and an unrelenting coparent. Marcus was my first experience hiring an attorney - I hired him to represent me involving custody of my son. Marcus made things much smoother- every single time I got off the phone with him I immediately felt better, he always made sure I knew exactly what the steps were, what to expect, and answered any questions I ever had in a timely manner. In the end both parties felt like each of every one of our concerns were heard and addressed- I couldn’t have asked for a better result- in the end we all agreed, we all were happy, and the judge even commended us on all working together as a team for my son! Mr. Mitchell is 100% the real deal. Out of the 3 or 4 lawyers I had for my divorce, he was the only one that got the ball rolling on actually getting my divorce finalized. On my first encounter with Mr. Mitchell he got things moving pretty quick within a few months of taking over my case. Unfortunately he ended up having to change firms and I was still with the firm he left. Once he left, there was absolutely ZERO progress on my case. Luckily, I still had his number and I reached out to him when I had enough of the lack of progress. Just like that, within a year (due to waiting on the other party) he was able to wrap things up with my case which had been dragging on for 4.5 years. I haven’t met him in person, but he worked with me, he was patient with me and really helped to get me through things even with the time difference. I can’t thank him enough for all the work he did on my case in a relatively short period. If anybody needs help in this area, he’s definitely the person to call. He’s relatable, he’ll tell it to you straight and he’s not going try to pull one over on you. I know lawyers get a bad wrap, but this guy is legit!!!
