I will be honest I drive faster than most and do it without concern of getting a ticket. Matter of fact I received 4 tickets over a 40 day period all for 20+ over. I just send them to James and they go away. I do not go to court, they are all dismissed. And he has done that exact thing over 20+ times for me. NOT ONE TICKET was I found guilty of. I refer EVERYONE to him cause he truly is the best traffic lawyer there is. Make no mistake about it you can use him and have it dismissed or try someone else and flip a coin. I do not like my odds flipping a coin so I just send my tickets to Mucklestone. Thanks James your a life saver.

Wow where do I begin! I was referred to James by a good friend of mine. I got caught drinking and driving 3 times in 2 months and still kept driving with a suspended license but thanks to James I have 1 now. He keep me informed of all my court dates and made sure I showed up for each one. He was amazing in the court room when talking with the judge and state attorney's. Always had an answer for any question they had for him. James's smooth talk and knowledge of the laws helped me out tremendously. With 3 DUI's in the same year I think he did a great job with everything he has done for me over these past few years. On top of the DUI's I also violated a deferred prosecution and still I am not in jail. If you need a great attorney that will go out of there way to help you call James he is the best.

We first contacted James Mucklestone several years ago when I had gotten a radar speeding ticket. He put up a great fight and the ticket was dismissed. I was impressed. I had three teenage boys at the time and regretfully admit that we have used him several times over the years. Every single ticket was dismissed. Through our real estate business, we are in contact with many clients and work with many attorneys in many specialized fields. We have on several occasions recommended Mr. Mucklestone to others for traffic infractions, clearly his specialty. Got a ticket? Call James Mucklestone before you do anything else!

I Hired James Mucklestone to handle my DUI case. I was offered a reduction during the initial phase of the case, before I even hired Mr. Mucklestone. When I first met with him, he sounded exceptionally confident that with his knowledge of the system he would be able to negotiate a lower charge before we'd even have to go to trial. He also agreed to handle the DOL side of the case. On the DOL side, he passed the case off to some other attorney, who only made one argument, which didn't do anything to dissuade them from suspending my license. On the court side, he showed up late both times, and after not making any real attempts to negotiate the case lower, told me i should just take the initial offer I was given. During the entire process, he would take days to get back to me with answers or information, and was just not very informative. all this for $5,000.00. I would have been better off never having hired an attorney at all. I wouldn't hire this guy to perform the simple task of doing my dishes, let alone performing legal tasks, if they have any bearing on your life.

Divorce sucks, but Breanne helped me though it. Her sensible family (child) focused approach was a relief. She kept a clear head through all the craziness, even when I couldn't. I have recommended her to other men going through a divorce.

I hired Breanne Martin to wrap up an already-in-process dissolution on a recommendation from a trusted source. I did my research before meeting with her and really liked that she also has an MBA. That told me that not only is she qualified to complete my case, but she also has a business mind! Located in Arlington, her office is easy to get to; I was grateful not to have to go into downtown Everett. Working with Breanne was a pleasure; She works efficiently, but also listens with an empathetic ear. She was professional, gave sound advice and kept me informed through the process. She also prepared me to have realistic expectations. Breanne is also quite personable, relatable and has a sense of humor, which is nice as tensions can get high when one is getting a divorce. I recommended her to anyone who’s looking for legal services.

Breanne helped me to finish a custody case of mine which led to mitigation. She was very communicative, which I appreciated so much. I was never left out of any detail. She listened to everything I wanted and was honest with me. She made me feel very comfortable to talk to her and come to her about any questions. I highly recommend her! I will definately go back to her if I ever need to.

Craig worked on my case for 2 years and filed multiple motions and briefings that proved the system was wrong. With each ridiculous attempt by prosecutors office, Craig utilized the law and its mandates to prove my innocence. In todays legal system it pays off to have an attorney that is willing to work hard for his client and ready to defend despite all odds. Craig is very affordable and gives you 110%. He wore down my opponents by simply using the law as it is written and the agency I was fighting against was proven wrong and case was dismissed by judge. Outstanding job Craig!!! I am so thrilled and glad to be vindicated. I thank God for putting Craig Cahoon in my path.

Couldn't be happier! 31MPH over ticket from a close relative completely dismissed. $199 flat fee and no points on the record. Also no need to attend court, so no time / money lost from that! Sit back, relax and let him do his job. You pay nothing unless he at least reduces the ticket to a non points offense. Keeping points off your record is the most important part for saving money long term, because it keeps your insurance rates lower. There's literally nothing to lose and plenty to gain, so hire him immediately if you get a ticket.

Wells/Trumbull law firm was such a great team to work with. This being my husband and my first experience going to trial. Wells/Trumbull team was there always there to provide us with such care, comfort and support. They made us feel loved and like family. They walked us thru every step of the way thru the whole process of everything. I would use this law again and have recommended them to our family and friends. They are a 5 star law firm who provides a great deal of professionalism and countless support with a ton of patience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Arlington, Washington?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
