Sara managed my divorce which was the low point in my life. She is so bright, and I quickly decided I could put my full trust in her. Sara has a very thorough knowledge of the law and helped me through many difficult decisions. Also, I have this pesky need-to-understand every legalese term and every number in a spreadsheet, and to ask every conceivable question. Sara was incredible patient with my pesky needs so I never had to sign-up for something I didn't completely understand.

From the beginning, I felt that Sara was looking out for my best interests in a unique financial situation in which I stood to lose a lot. She was straightforward and honest about potential pitfalls since Washington is a community property state in which the breadwinning spouse is essentially punished for being the provider. However, Sara did all in her power to protect me financially, always thinking of factors I would not have known to consider. This was especially impressive at mediation, when in amazement I watched her quickly and accurately sort through the various topics that needed to be addressed, and I actually left the mediation happy with the outcomes. Sara also found ways to enhance my child custody schedule to fit in with my work schedule, and interestingly, she did take my ex's needs into consideration as well since she knew that I was not out to "shaft" him but rather work out a fair plan in which I got what I needed. She legally found many methods that worked in my favor, and I appreciated that she recognized that I did not need or want emotional support but legal assistance.
