Our situation was rather unique as I hired Steve to represent my Brother in Law for a DUI who had dementia. I live in Texas and with the pandemic it made it impossible to travel to Washington State. Shortly after the DUI, we had to admit my brother in law to a Memory Care Facility. Steve worked diligently with the prosecutor, providing him with supporting documentation of the deterioration in my Brother In Law's physical and mental condition. He was able to get an "Order of Dismissal Without Prejudice". Steve was an excellent communicator and available 24/7 if we needed him. It was such a blessing to have someone like Steve fighting the legal battle for us especially during such a stressful time. Much thanks and praise to Steve and I would highly recommend him.

Steve’s reputation is what it is for many reasons. First off, he answered the phone when I called from the holding cell on a Friday evening. He then took me through what was happening and how to manage each step of the process. Because of my prior charges I was required to spend the night in jail but he then answered the phone again when I called him Saturday morning. WOW! After retaining his services he had me released at my preliminary hearing with no conditions when the Seattle City Prosecutors’ Office was trying to throw the book at me. He cited the DUI statute without hesitation to the presiding judge like he could say it in his sleep. He ran circles around the prosecutor and a thumbs up from the bail bondsman while pointing at Steve reaffirmed to me that he had done a good job. A criminal charge can add a lot of stress to one’s life for many reasons and Steve was ALWAYS available to talk me off the ledge. When I asked a local prosecutor who I should retain for services him and another attorney in his office were named off a short list of highly qualified DUI defense attorneys.
