Rob was excellent with walking me through the entire duration of my proceedings and was able to get me a very reduced sentence. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. He was always very good with communication, timely, and making me feel confident and reassured during this stressful time. My husband and I are very fortunate that he was there to help us. Robert Ault did an excellent job. He was thorough and accurate. He followed up with exact detailed emails so I always felt fully in the loop. His judgement was spot on and I appreciated his attention to every detail.

I did everything Rob wanted me to do and wound up with an absolutely ideal outcome for my circumstances. Pinched for DUI on Mercer Island (watch out there, seriously) while visiting from out of state and I refused breathalyzer. Rob worked extra to accommodate my travel burden and to ensure my case wouldn’t have unforeseen consequences across state lines. Communication was always clear and I felt that my case was considered thoroughly by him. I went from facing extreme DUI charges with possible jail time plus 1 year driver’s license suspension, high risk insurance and 4 figures in fines down to negligent driving 1st degree, with NO license suspension, NO jail time, NO high risk insurance, <$400 in fines, just 32 hours community service which he got so I could serve in my home state. Very effective and professional. I would strongly recommend anyone charged with DUI in Seattle area or Eastside to give him a call. His receptionist Karen is also very reliable.

My only regret is not contacting Rob right after my arrest. This was my first arrest and I had no idea what to do or to expect. Definitely contact Rob right away before the 20 days that the Department of Licensing will temporarily suspend your driver’s license as a result of a DUI, DWI or reckless driving. Rob is easy to work with. He is specialized in the defense of those accused of criminal charges and when he was working on his law degree, he worked at the King County Prosecutor's Office for Victim Assistance. Having experience and legal contacts on both sides of the legal system is a definite advantage in representing clients. It was obvious that Rob was respected by the prosecuting attorneys and judges that were involved in my case. Rob knows the system so take his advice to take care of what needs to be done as quickly and promptly as possible. Rob was upfront with me from the beginning, not making any promises on the outcome, but he came through with a commendable result. In my opinion, a DUI or DWI is going to be expensive with or without an attorney. My legal expenses were offset with having a reduced charge with a reduced fine, that was also reduced almost in half as well as not having to spend extra time in jail, got my driver’s license suspension reduced from 90 to 30 days, and not having to put a blow and go on my truck.

I couldn’t have asked for a better person/attorney on my side. Not only did he help with any and all questions (and I had many) but he answered them with ease and promptly. I would recommend Rob to anyone and everyone who needed such help. Thank you thank you thank you for your help and guidance through this case. You fight the fight and walk the walk.

Rob was very thorough and professional, he patiently guided me through the process this being my first time, was honest with the potential outcomes and available options, provided good references and got the charges reduced to reckless, which was a great outcome given the circumstances.

Robert is an excellent lawyer . He is also very communicative and guided me through the entire confusing process of the legal system. I was facing 2 new duis in a short timespan and a violation of a deferred prosecution. 3 total charges . He helped me resolve this issue by negotiating my new duis into reckless driving charges. Rob was great. Very easy to talk to and with. He always advised me of the worse case scenario for any route we chose to take. He’s straight forward with what can be expected. He got me the best outcome, outside of a dismissal, for my DUI charge (w/prior outside of 7 years). No jail time, very small fine and favorable requirements (treatment, probation, etc...).
