Elizabeth LePley is a very good attorney, I wish I would have had her as my first original attorney, she helped me reopen my work comp case, and in personal injury case. She is very generous with her time and genuinely cares for her clients. Staff is nice, and she and staff are pretty good at remembering details and timelines of the case. Highly recommend them!

In my 54+ years I have never thought about or had reason to sue anyone. I suffered a dental incident that required surgery and created a lot of stress and frustration, because the Dentist refused to do the right thing. My brother found Lehmbecker Law and urged me to speak with them about my situation. I was reluctant, as I am not a litigious person and had a negative perception about malpractice claims. After speaking with Robert Goettel, my concerns were fully allayed. He was professional, empathetic and transparent about the process and the outcome (both good and bad). 20% of the time I felt listened to and taken care of. The other 80% I felt brushed off. I have so much to say, but I’ll try to keep it brief. I hired Lehmbecker law because I was in a car accident 1/4/19. They had nothing but great reviews and I felt like I’d be well taken care of. I settled my lawsuit fall of 2022 and still feel anxious and depressed from the entire situation. I had to see a counselor specifically to recover from the mental stress the lawsuit put me through. I was constantly spoken to as if I had been through a lawsuit before and should know what each step of the process looks like and what all of their legal terminology meant. Did you know that even if an accident is not your fault, you can end a lawsuit in the negative and have to pay up instead of being compensated for all of your losses? I was lied to by my legal team and told that the people we were suing accepted fault and that I would get a good settlement in the end because they’re a “multi million dollar company”. Of course on mediation day my legal team decides to tell me it’s some small no name insurance company and they never accepted fault. The first paralegal working on my CAR ACCIDENT CASE completely dropped the ball and “forgot” to add my TOTALED VEHICLE to my list of financial losses that the people we were suing needed to compensate me for. How do you forget to add a totaled vehicle involved in a car accident case to a list of financial losses?! Did you know an insurance company can refuse to pay out on mediation day? I didn’t! No one warned me of the possible negative outcomes. Instead it was like someone dangling a treat in front of my face and making me chase it as if someone was saying “come on Shantel, just a little longer and you’ll win lots of money”. That’s how my entire lawsuit felt. I walked away with around $19,000 from an accident that my lawyer valued around $850,000. What a slap in the face right? The worst part is that I had surgery on my spine due to an accident that wasn’t my fault. Although the lawsuit is settled I am about to undergo ANOTHER spinal surgery due to this car accident nearly 5 years ago. I had to spend my $19,000 settlement paying off debt caused by the car accident. I had not a penny left to spend on further treatment or my next upcoming surgery. My legal team didn’t care. They sat back and practically acted like “hmm this circumstance is rare, but it happened to you.. oh well”.. I remember being so shocked on mediation day. This entire lawsuit was a waste of my time and completely terrorized me mentally. I am in so much medical debt, have so much stress and anxiety and I can’t help but blame it on this awful experience. I wish they would’ve been honest with me from the beginning and didn’t get my hopes up. I figured if I did everything my doctors said, tried to get better then we could settle my lawsuit and I’d be compensated right? Completely wrong. I spent thousands and thousands of dollars going to countless doctors, hundreds of medical appointments, I’ve had hundreds of needles in my neck, two surgeries and what do I get? $19,000, 5 years taken away from my life, depression, anxiety, ptsd, chronic lifelong pain. I am so upset from this situation despite working with a counselor for months on this specific subject. It’s just sad and no one from my legal team warned me that a lawsuit could end poorly. I wish I would’ve taken this to trial and gotten a different legal team. I was failed and let down beyond belief.
