Definitely give him a call for your domestic relations law in Washington State. Alex Milkie's firm is my third attempt at legal representation. The first two were dismal. The first charged a high rate while accumulating discovery for the eventual trial, however, they did far too much document prep and far too little actual legal representation. Spent $15,000 to get my documents and proof of ownership in order, while not forcing the other party to provide discovery on their assets. This left the Judge with many questions and my case was very weak. Since I am not a lawyer and I expected them to do their job a lot was not done that could have shortened up the length of this case (now almost 4 years). The second firm did the same thing and rather than use the case file already in progress they scrapped it all and began over, charging me a second time for all the case preparation already done the first time, and AGAIN, not getting the discovery done for the other side allowing them to get by with perjury unchallenged. I don't mind paying my fair share, but as the judge mentioned it should not take so long or cost so much to get the job done. Alex is much better and more efficient and because of this much cheaper even if he charges the same rate because he gets it done. For half of what I paid the other firm he has done twice as much and communicated much better during this time, keeping me informed, discussing case planning and possible outcomes and being open to his clients’ concerns and considerations. These outstanding traits make him a much more desirable legal counsel than at least two other firms I've had personal experience with. I am grateful for his help and wish I had found his firm 3 years ago as I'm sure this whole thing would be over long ago, and I'd have retained much more of my assets in the process.

I've had a horrible experience with PNFL. Justin Nipper and his paralegal Anna took my very simple case, and what followed was some of the worst customer experience I've ever dealt with. I was given a few intake forms to fill out, and was told that we should be reaching out to the opposing party sometime in the next week after I had filled everything out. Which was great because my case was time sensitive. I had a couple basic questions about the forms, so I emailed Anna and CC'd Justin. A week went by, and I still didn't get any answers to my questions. So I sent a followup email, and Anna had informed me that Justin had a serious medical issue and had been in the hospital for the past week. In my opinion (and Justin agrees), that should have been communicated to me earlier. Thankfully he is doing much better now. More days went by without getting answers to my questions, so I called Anna's number and left a message. Still nothing after a few days. It had been a few weeks at this point, and I was feeling a bit abandoned. I sent an email expressing my concerns to Justin that I can't get a hold of Anna and that all I needed was a few basic questions answered to fill out the intake forms. He asked if I wanted to schedule a meeting - I said no, because he is very expensive to talk to, and the whole point of having a paralegal is to help with basic questions like this. He answered one of my questions, but my others remained unanswered. So I eventually just took my best guesses and submitted the paperwork. 5 weeks go by. I'm starting to panic - literally no progress has been reported to my about my case. Anna has not once answered my phone calls, and the last email she replied to was the first week I hired them. So I call PNFL's office. They outsource their customers service, so I was transferred to some third party service. I explained my frustrations, and they would just try to transfer me to Anna, who was never available the multiple times I called. By the end of week 5, I told them I was done and wanted my 5k retainer back. Well at this point I was down nearly $1,200 - mostly due to the initial Zoom meetings with Justin. Now this is the best part - the next day, I finally hear from Justin. We get on the phone, and he tells me that Anna had not been working with PNFL for about 4 weeks. And NOBODY told me, including Justin who I was CCing on every email to her. So every email sent and phone call I made was a complete waste of time. Even the customer service people I talked with thought she still worked there. For what it's worth, Justin called me and apologized. It sounds like between medical issues and a paralegal who suddenly stopped working with him, he was dealt a very bad hand and did the best he could to make his clients happy. It's been about 20 days, and I still haven't received the remainder of my retainer back. I called, but have not been able to make any progress. I keep being "transferred" then hung up on. EDIT: I had a phone call with Justin just now, and he's working on getting my check. Unfortunately, my experience was a big waste of time and money. And some of the most frustrating weeks of my life.
