I was at the Bellingham 4th of July fireworks display. After the event I walked to my vehicle and proceeded to leave. As I knew the traffic would be horrible, I parked near the exit of the parking area. A flagger hired by the city motioned me to head back into the congested parking area. I could see there was a break in the traffic and proceeded the obvious direction towards the exit. The flagger pretended that she had been hit and convinced police officers that I had indeed struck her. No contact could have been made as I steered my vehicle away from the flagger, not at her. The police tried to pin a felony hit and run on me. Alex was able to get two of the three charges dropped and no felony charges incurred. He was tenacious in his journey to find the facts. Although the police officers were not truthful in the events that occured, Alex was able to debunk the story of the supposedly injured flagger. She had tried this act several times before. Alex was able to avoid a trial and negotiated an Agressive Driving course and jail alternative with EHM. My record had been unblemished and Alex was able to persuade the Prosecuter and Judge that this was a one time occurrence. With the testemony of the Police officers siding with the fake injured flagger, the outcome was as good as good be expected. I was framed by the flagger and Alex was able to persuade the Prosecuter and Judge that a reduced sentence was in order.

I hired Alexander Ransom immediately after I was charged with reckless endangerment. It was a difficult case as I was facing up to 1 year in jail, a 5,000 fine, and 5 years of probation and anger management classes. I was charged with Reckless Driving under RCW46.64.500, also Disorderly Conduct. Together these charges represent a chance of jail and hefty fines. It took some time, Prosecutors kept coming up with different "witnesses", Alex interviewed them, found the Prosecutors case lacking. While this was going on I felt that I was being Railroaded by the Prosecutors. The out come of the case was quite satisfactory. The Judge accepted the City Prosecutor's Dismissal, reductions and $250.00 fine recommendations.
