Mrs. Carrie Coppinger Carter, in my opinion is the one of the best lawyers in the Northwest especially because she is hard working, super communicative (so you don’t have to worry about updates on you’re case). She is currently handling 2 of my cases and so far I’ve seen a lot of progress and I already know that I will get the settlement that I deserve if I have her as my lawyer! And so will you if you have her as you’re lawyer!

Carrie and her team are very professional, incredibly welcoming. I'm grateful for the time and energy Carrie put into my case, she kept me apprised and always responded to me in a timely manner. Carrie and her team made this difficult situation so much easier, I truly appreciate Carrie. She fought for me and I appreciated her honest and open approach throughout my case.

Carrie is one of the most exceptional attorneys in this community matter fact probably in the state and even across this country bar none and I literally mean bar none she will give you every inch every possible Avenue that could actually be litigated she is 100% by the book and she calls it by the ball straight and narrow and she only throws strikes once in awhile because she works so hard she'll throw a slider when you least expect it I know no other woman nor attorney on this planet that could actually do a better job for you your corporation family business or personal she'll tell it to you straight I hope that's what you like to hear she's not going to fluff things up but she's here to win she's not a loser matter of fact she has saved one and litigated some claim that I never thought would even get off the ground she sees through all the muck and mire because she is a Coppinger,.! She comes I'm a family that sticks together and I don't mean to make this racial but you don't see white families stick together like this normally everyday like they do I don't know if you know how Hispanic people and other races help out the elderly and stick by their family but you don't see too many white families caucasians doing but this family does she is extremely versed an extremely connected all the way to the top she does not use her connections to win the fight on the contrary when they see her coming they know that they have a battle before them I'm about to give up even before the the shooting starts I've always I've always wanted her on my team but I can't say that I could afford her he's not cheap on any aspect nor should anybody be with a talent and the expertise that she has you have to pay to play so to speak I would do anything that I possibly could for this person in which she is actually stuck out her neck far beyond anybody that I've ever known and of course she is the only Christian woman that holds the line matter of fact to a T you cannot make this woman false her when it comes to Jesus and who other that you want on your side I'm not saying that you need to be a Christian to actually hire her but I'm not going to say that she's not going to mention her savior if you come through her doors without him it doesn't really matter anyway you might as well throw in the towel but don't quite give up yet she'll see your last breath and she'll put out her hand pull you back up dust you off and push you across the the finish line in which you may never think that you would have made it and without her more than likely you wouldn't give her a call let her check out your case I promise you there isn't a better attorney in town none zero mark my word Godspeed

Nathan and the team at Robinson and Kole handled my claim for knee replacement --which other attorneys thought was "complicated" without even reviewing my medical info. The entire team cares, listens, and takes all of the stress off of you! They have bilingual staff too, and can handle a lot by way of phone so you don't need to be in their town. I HIGHLY recommend this firm, with their exceptional and lengthy experience specializing in worker's comp claims

Bob (Mr. Wolle) and his assistants Aime and Katrina were very kind, generous with their time, professional, and knowledgeable. They guided me through all processes and made sure I had everything in order. They were patient with all my questions. Bob and his team made sure I was educated in the process of bankruptcy and was there "by my side" at the finish line. I highly recommend this legal team!

I hired Mr. Wolle for my bankruptcy matter, and found quickly that he was extremely kind, generous, professional, and knowledgeable. He is a phenomenal attorney. His knowledge of the law and response times (calls, emails, requests, etc.) were more than I could ask for. He walked me through the process and made sure I had everything documented to have a successful case. He was very patient with all my questions and made sure I had the knowledge of the bankruptcy process to make all the right decisions. I would highly recommend Mr. Wolle to anyone I know.

What Questions Should I Ask Before Hiring a Lawyer?

Hiring the right lawyer is crucial for the success of your case. Here are some important questions to ask during your initial consultation:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.
  6. How will you communicate with me throughout the process?
Establish expectations for updates, preferred communication methods, and response times.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Bellingham, Washington?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
