I just wanted a quick consultation to decided if I wanted a child support modification.
First he double booked meaning I and another client showed up at the same time. Since I took time from work the other client let me have the appointment.
Second, he wanted $200 on his desk before he would say a word. Just sat back and waited for the check. Confusing since we didn't know how long the appt would be.
Third, he could not remember my child's name. He asked 3 times which I found not only rude but worried me that he would not remember details in a court room and finally he wasn't polite enough to shake my hand.
He told me to print the forms from the the County webite and do it myself even after I explained my ex had been convicted of abuse and anger issues so I didn't expect the modification to go smoothly.
Sorry, but I found this guy to be a total slug just in it for the $. I have no idea how he got good reviews (friends?) which is what I based my decision on to meet with him. Now I will need to spend more money to find an attorney.

Roy was amazing at walking me step by step through my divorce at a very painful time in my life. What was so wonderful is that he was able to inject a sense of reason into what is a most unreasonable process, at least from an emotional point of view. He never took my feelings or experiences lightly but at the same time helped me see what was necessary to get to a rewarding solution. He told me I could use what was going on as jet fuel to create a different and better way of life for myself, which turned out to be so true. A very happy divorced woman.• • •

I retained Roy Martin to represent me in my divorce and child custody case. Roy was upfront about the potential cost and proceedings as my case dealt with a military member. From the beginning Roy listened to my concerns about my husband and addressed them one by one. He was companionate but realistic in what could or would happen. Roy was through in putting together the court documents needed. There were a few hiccups due to my husband being in another state and military, but not at Roy’s fault. Roy made those as painless as possible. As the ball got rolling in this Roy was quick and aggressive on getting court dates. My husband is a highly volatile and contentious person. Roy dealt with him calmly and smoothly. My divorce and custody was finalized sooner than anticipated which I believe was due to Roy’s diligence in the matter. Such was that Roy even researched the states laws that I’m moving to and worded my parenting plan accordingly so that the probability of me going to court again was lessened. Roy took a difficult time and helped me handle it with dignity and grace. I would recommend Roy 100% in all Family matters.

Roy Martin represented me in a child support/visitation problem. Roy and his staff were absolutely amazing!!!! I was beyond lucky to have found him, and he instantly was able to show the judge what was going on with my ex-wife's continual poisonous actions in turning my child against me. The end result of Roy's representation was the judge granted me the rights to visitation with no changes, put me in charge of making mental health care decisions for my daughter, and the healing of the relationship was magnificent!!!
There have been bumps in the road along the way since, and Roy has been incredible and responsive to my calls and always given sound right-on advise!!
I would endorse Roy for any family matter, and further endorse putting 100% faith and trust in him.

Recently I engaged Mr. Martin to represent me where my ex-wife was attempting to take shared custody of my son. From the beginning, Mr. Martin listened and understood the details of my case. We spent a lot of time preparing my depositions, once we were in court it became clear to me how important this effort was.
Going into this, Mr. Martin was very up front about the potential costs, and the reality that it is not possible to be certain about the courts decision. Although I felt we had a good case based on my ex-wife's actions, this left me with no false perceptions about the outcome. At least I knew what I was getting into, in the end I am happy with my decision to fight for retaining shared custody of my son.
When the time came for Mr. Martin to present my side of the situation, he was skilled and confident. Both in communicating my position, and presenting evidence to the Court. Throughout this process Mr. Martin has been competent, professional, and completely honest about all aspects of my case, there have been no unwelcome surprises. In any aspect of family law, I would recommend Mr. Martin without hesitation.

My wife and I are separating and met with Roy to get a better appreciation of the process. Simply put - Roy is amazing. Everything an attorney should be, with a healthy sprinkling of compassionate counselor on top. If you are looking for an attorney who believes in fair and honest care for all parties involved, Roy is your guy. Reasonable rates as well.
