About two months ago, I received an unexpected visit from Child Protective Services (CPS), who wanted to see my 2-year-old daughter. The caseworker conducted a brief visit, during which she observed my interaction with my daughter and assured me that I had nothing to worry about, stating that I was a good father. Unfortunately, this was just the beginning of a series of false allegations made by my daughter's mother. A month later, CPS contacted me, stating that they were requesting no visitation rights for me. I was not provided an explanation and was instructed to speak to the CPS caseworker. When I finally reached the caseworker, I learned I was being accused of committing an unspeakable crime. My daughter’s mother used this allegation as support for an Immediate Restraining Order and in her Motion to Modify the Final Parenting Plan to prevent me from having contact with our daughter.
