Mike Kelly has been our business' lawyer at Burke-Gilman Brewing from the beginning. He helped us review our lease, file our taxes in the right spot, helped advise as to the legal structure of our company and has given advice as to how to proceed in a legal dispute with an equipment supplier. We have recommended him (and his firm) without hesitation to other businesses starting up.

I was hit by a car while driving my moped. Didn't have health insurance at the time and required multiple surgeries and several months off before I could think about working again. Josh negotiated with the hospital to get them to accept a smaller payment, since I'm not rich and the driver who hit me only had $100,000 in liability insurance. He was also able to get a significant amount of that set aside for me so that I could recover financially from being out of work for so long, which went beyond my expectations of what was possible. Throughout the process I found him to be professional and helpful, willing to explain everything that I didn't understand about the legal issues. He responded to all of my calls/texts within 24 hours which was reassuring in itself. I would recommend Josh to anyone in a similar situation and I would assume that the other lawyers at the firm are of similar high quality.

Mr. Baker listened to me, reviewed the decree, and provided sound legal advice. Joseph eloquently conveyed to the ex, the consequences that will follow, if the agreed performance not met. Joseph helped me navigate unfamiliar territory and assisted in getting the specific performance out of the other side, timely. I later returned to Mr. Baker for another legal advice. In the world we live today, having an excellent legal advisor on your side is extremely valuable. I would strongly recommend Joseph for any family law related issue.

Mr. GERKE had helped me with all my cases. All staff is excellent. I popp in without appt and he makes time to see me. I highly recommend this law firm. We were referred to Joseph through an Employee Assistance Program at work. We had personal property damage through a contractor and our home owners insurance denied the claim as not qualifying as one of the allowed damage reasons and the contractor’s insurance was difficult and unresponsive. We met with Joseph and he took on our claim and represented us through both insurance companies and he was able to help us recover the financial loss that we experienced while being very fair and reasonable on his rates. We had a great, easy experience.

If you want a law office who will act like you don't exist, ie. ignoring upwards of 20 phone call attempts and messages, completely ignored e-mails and a lawyer who ignores you and your case for upwards of two months-allowing what you thought was being taken care of to be sent to collections agencies, then this is your place. When you feel like your life couldn't get worse because of your accident but you really are just hoping it would? Then this is your law office. When you, the police, AND the witnesses ALL say the accident was the other drivers fault but you don't want your lawyer to prove it and in turn cause YOU to take blame in it? Then this is your law office. I know I sound like a Sam Bernstein commercial, but this is 100% what happened to me. I was ignored for over 2 months prior to my serious accident. The accident was not my fault, but my "lawyer" was not able to get the other driver to assume responsibility, even with my testimony, multiple police officers testimonies, a police report AND witnesses saying it was very clearly the other drivers fault. The rental company did send what I owed to a collections agency because I had not paid it, but I had been told that the lawyer here at this law office would take care of these things so I could focus on recovering. I also ended up having to pay my insurance company's deductible ($500) in order to get my car looked at because the incompetent lawyers working here couldn't get the at fault driver's insurance company to estimate my car. All in all, hiring these lawyers has caused me pain and suffering, and a couple thousand dollars.

This is the best Lawyer that I will ever have in my lifetime and that I have ever had a family member has referred me to Joe and it has been a blessing. I have had a couple charges and both have been dismissed Joe worked very hard. He is highly respectable and very knowledgeable. I have made some mistakes in life and Joe has given me more than just a 2nd chance at life. He is very reliable always very responsive. He has good communication skills always lets you know what can happen and has certain goals set for you to succeed. Joe fought for my freedom, rights and showed me the right path to correct my wrongs by making them right.

I am unsatisfied with Mr.Baker's performance and representation. His communication with me was poor and at times felt confrontational. On occasion I asked him to clarify his strategy and for more assertiveness, his response was always; "you are welcome to find someone else to represent you". I suggest that you do! If you are seeking aggressive defense, I suggest that you keep looking!

Extremely knowledgeable in firearm rights. Very up front and open with options. Always very prompt and clear with responses. Did not nickel and dime for every question asked or phone call placed.

I found myself in a bit of a jamb when I swerved to avoid an errant vehicle and upon hitting a light post flipped my truck. The perceptions and accounts at the scene did not seem to match the infraction with which I was eventually cited. Joseph listened to me for understanding and then protected my legal rights and my driving record. We went from a possible two to three point hit to my record and a $550 fine down to a $150 fee to the court on a silly non-moving trifle which most importantly left my record unaffected. I am quite pleased with his services and the result he was able to negotiate for me.

Joe Baker is curently working on my divorce case. I was referred to him by a friend that works at the firm. I am going through a divorce and got my children taken away from. Completely blindsided by my soon to be ex. I gave Joe a $3500 retainer to represent me back 3 months ago and the case is still going on. I have asked him to try to settle the case for me because it is costing a lot more than I was quoted. I dont feel like Joe is a good advocate for me at all. I question if he is really looking out for my best interest. I had to give him another $3500 two months in to the case. I have spent far more that what I expected and not getting the representation I feel I have paid for. Joe's response is If I am not happy with his representation I can fire him. I feel like I have been mis-informed and have not had good strong represetation . I should have looked at attorneys with better ratings on the internet. You get one chance to make a good impression on the court and need good strong represtation. Joe is not the guy for the job.
