Dimitra handled our open adoption case. She was responsive and respectful until we met in person and she was finished with her portion with us; she never followed up with the information we discussed in the appointment 3 months ago now. Her legal assistant ignored all our attempts to reach her. She clearly doesn’t care about her clients and only cares about the income.

I don't know how to put this other than - this was the most amazing and best worst time of my life. The amazing best part was Dimitra Scott. She allowed me my emotions and gently guided me to the understanding we were going to deal with the business of divorce. She accepted my case because we talked about trying to be kind during the process...and she was always kind and polite when dealing with my ex -wife and her attorney. All the way through this ugly time Dimitra reminded me what was most important - the kids - and giving myself a chance to move on. Mediation was tough and again I was allowed to move through my emotions while she held a firm stance on what I needed to succeed. We settled in a day. A week later Dimitra and I walked out of the courthouse - after finalizing the divorce decree in front of the judge - and all I could think to say to her was "Thank you for my new life" and that only scratched the surface of how grateful I am to have been taken care of by a person with her character - someone who fought for me when I could not and who showed me how to be kind and strong in the face of divorce.

Dimitra represented me during a lengthy custody battle for my children. For any Dad going through a divorce or custody battle, she is exactly the person that you need on your side. She is knowledgeable, trustworthy, responsive, and she will keep you informed along the way. I felt confident the first time that I met her that she was the right person to argue my case. I cannot thank her enough for helping me get my children back.

Dimitra is an aggressive lawyer, which can be a positive for some people. I was willing to settle my case with my future-ex-wife outside of court, but Dimitra failed to recognize my needs, and rather suggested we fight until the end. I found her to be a bully, especially in areas of weakness. She seemed to overcompensate and just take the bulldog stance and it ended up costing me much more time, money and energy than it was worth. Furthermore, she does not give sound advice. Her suggestions are a blanket, one size fits all for her clients, which made it extremely difficult to trust she was giving me advice pertinent and specific to my divorce and my needs. In the end, I had to find a more honest and trustworthy lawyer and I will not be using Dimitra again for any services.

I've found Dimitra to be both personable and professional. Very knowledgeable in family law. She has always provided sound advice with our children's best interests in mind. Without hesitation, I will come back to Dimitra for future legal issues.

Dimitra is an exceptional attorney who really understands both the emotional toil of a difficult divorce and the practical aspects as well. In dealing with my particular situation, I faced an unreasonable and unpredictable suspected drug user as a soon to be ex-husband who wanted very liberal visitation rights with our 7 year old son, along with anything of value from our family home (short of the home itself). Dimitri provided exceptional legal advice as to how to respond to the outrageous demands and lack of follow thru on his part. She understand completely the situation I was in with wanting to protect my son, yet at the same time needing to be reasonable and come to some sort of agreement with the other party. She successfull negotiated a settlement that was in the best interest of my child, myself and my ex (even though he didn't agree). I felt quite fortunate to be represented by such a knowledgeable, compassionate and reasonable individual. I would recommend her without hesitation, and definately plan to utilize her services in the future for my estate planning.
