My husband, diagnosed with dementia, inadvertently missed our annual payment to our Long Term Life Insurance policy, which we had faithfully maintained for nearly 25 years. Upon contacting the insurance company with the required form, they informed me that their Board of Directors had denied reinstating his policy. They stated his only benefit would be the return of what he had paid in. After researching the cost of memory care facilities, I discovered his policy would only cover about nine months of care. Eventually, I was referred to Aaron Engle, who offered guidance on how to proceed. Within a few weeks, Aaron thoroughly reviewed the situation and advised me to formally request all documentation and correspondence, including the Power of Attorney they had requested. Shortly after submitting this request, I received a phone call notifying me that my husband had been reinstated. Without Aaron's expert guidance and precise legal advice on how to word the final request, I doubt we would have succeeded. My experience underscores how strongly I recommend Aaron. When dealing with insurance companies who may try to avoid payouts, it's crucial not to simply accept their initial responses. It's worth pursuing and verifying to ensure they uphold their commitments.

I cannot recommend my attorney Aaron I Engle highly enough. He embodies decency and discipline, making him not just a remarkable human being but a truly exceptional lawyer. What sets him apart is his honesty; he never provides false hope but instead offers you the truth. From day one, he lays out a clear timeline, giving you a realistic expectation of the process ahead. One of his most outstanding skill is his ability to listen attentively during conversations, ensuring that he truly understands your concerns and needs. My endorsement of his services isn't based on a single case but on the consistent success he has delivered. I have referred two of my friends to him, and he has emerged victorious in all three cases including mine. His working methods and ethical standards remain unwaveringly high, ensuring a standard of excellence that brings peace of mind to his clients. Having had him by my side, I can attest to the satisfaction and reassurance that comes from having such a competent and reliable attorney in your corner. Thank you Aaron, your commitment to your clients are truly commendable. Getnet Yigzaw.

When Aaron took me on as his client, I was feeling very hopeless about my situation. I had felt very defeated when I was denied my short-term disability. After one phone call with him I felt very confident that I did have a valid case. His excellent communication skills right from the start put me at ease. He was patient and took the extra time to explain what the process would be going forward and he was very thorough through the entire time we worked together. He kept me informed at all times as my case progressed. Aaron was a good listener, compassionate and empathetic to my situation, which eased my mind as this case went on. My case was settled remotely and with a positive outcome. I cannot thank him enough for what he did for me. I highly recommend Aaron.

Thank you so much to Attorney Aaron Engle and his team of professionals- they were attentive and detailed in handling my case. Aaron set appropriate expectations which was very important to me since I have no experience in the legal field. I so appreciate all the extra time he took in making sure I understood everything and explaining my options, it is so good to know I had someone I could trust when I felt most vulnerable. Amazing attorney to work with!

Aaron Engel is not only one of Seattle’s top ten attorneys, Aaron Engle is a hero. How do I know? I know because Aaron saved my life. I could have started this out, sharing the details of Aaron’s excellent communication skills, or his professional mannerisms, or telling how wonderful everyone is in the office. I could tell you he returned all my calls, responded timely to my emails, or made sure all my questions were answered. But what I want you to know, first and foremost, is that I am grateful to Aaron that I can type this today, and more. I never doubted Aaron’s professional commitment to helping my family or me survive an injustice. He was the perfect attorney – professional, kind, caring, and a man with a plan. I agreed and complied with his plan for my case, which proved successful. For this, too, we are grateful. But during this time something else happened. I talked and Aaron listened. It was during our first appointment that I shared some of my alarming neurological symptoms, and how I felt that two neurologists weren’t really listening to me. I was discouraged and depressed. I really felt no one was listening. But Aaron listened. Fast forwarding –Aaron advised I see a specialist and he provided her name. Again, I agreed and complied and will be eternally grateful to Aaron for not only listening to me complain – he had a solution. This, too, paid off because I now have an incredible Neurologist, a name for all my symptoms and the best part – I am being treated. I will never be cured but I feel I have been given my life back.It is a very humbling experience to realize what Aaron Engle did for me and my family. He won my case, he went the extra mile to listen and to care. Aaron Engle, you are my hero.

Before I contacted Aaron Engle, I had been on social security & private disability insurance for over 20 years for a disabling spinal deformity & a spinal cord injury in my neck, caused mainly by car accidents on two different occasions where my wife & I were hit by trucks. Medical techniques had not developed to the point where I could get my problems fixed without a lot of risk. Finally I couldn't go on any longer & had to have surgery -- I couldn't walk & was becoming slowly paralysed from the neck down. I had three major surgeries last December, on my neck, & two on my back -- they went in through my belly once, & my back two days later. I had a fusion & a metal plate installed in my neck, & 7-levels of fusion in my back, with long screws installed into my pelvis to support 10-vertebrae levels of double titanium rods attached to 20-pedicle screws from L-5 to T-10. This was the most major rebuild of a spine that my regular doctor had ever heard of. I was in the hospital for 10 days, then spent two weeks in a rehab center -- I couldn't walk one step after the surgery. It takes three YEARS to recover from a surgery like this. Well, six MONTHS after the surgery -- June of this year, 2011, my private disability insurance company cut off my monthly benefits, saying that in their opinion, I was ready to go back to work! I couldn't believe it! I still couldn't walk! I couldn't drive a car, & was still on morphine & oxycodone around the clock because of bad pain. I still had multiple associated problems from my previous condition & from the surgery itself. In no way was I ready to go back to work -- I was in the middle of a rough recovery & still very much disabled. The insurance company didn't even have ANY of the records from my primary care doctor, which documented my ongoing disability & monthly visits with him. My surgeon, who I also was seeing regularly, couldn't believe that they had done that to me. I didn't know what to do, as the benefit was over $1000 a month, & my also disabled wife & myself really needed those benefits to pay the rent each month. All I can say is that the Lord led me to Aaron Engle & his firm. I knew that I had only one chance to appeal & get reinstated with my benefits, & I knew that I really shouldn't risk doing it by myself. I searched for an attorney online, & kept coming back to Nelson, Langer & Engle. I just had a feeling about them. So I called them up & they really hated my insurance company, having dealt with them before, & they were experts in this area of the disability law that is so complex. So I decided to let them take on the giant for me. Aaron & his wonderful paralegal John Boone & staff went to work on my behalf & literally brought that insurance company to their knees! What could have taken years to resolve was over in only 4 months! I was on the brink of bankruptcy when Aaron called a few days ago to say it was over, & the same day I got a check in the mail from the insurance company for over $4000, saying that I had been reinstated with continuing monthly benefits! And this happened before an official appeal had even been filed! Aaron & his firm presented such an overwhelming amount of medical documentation to the insurance company, along with the threat of the company having to eventually pay a big attorney fee award, that they just reversed their decision prior to the appeal process -- something that they usually NEVER do. I was amazed with the results -- the money came just in time to save us from financial ruin. So I'm happy to write about it all here & to highly recommend Aaron Engle & the firm Nelson, Langer, & Engle, in Seattle. I couldn't have asked for better representation or a better result for my case. I still can't believe it! I thought it would drag on for a much longer time. Aaron kept me in the loop every step of the way & did for me what I couldn't do for myself. That's what I call a great lawyer.

Mr. Engle handled my disability insurance claim and did most of the work on my case as part of the firm Neslon, Langer, Nelson in Seattle, Wa. He was on top on my case at all times and reported to me whenever any news on the progress of my case came up. He was a true professional in every sense of the word, and I would have no issues about hiring him again if the need should ever come up.

Mr. Engle, along with his partners, recently represented me in a disability case. I used to work for law firms and therefore was a little concerned when Mr. Engle was assigned to my case, because I felt he was a little on the young side. I had no reason to be worried. Even before speaking with me he had not only read my case completely, he had memorized many parts of it. When I referenced one letter out of the 2400 pages we had, he knew exactly what one I was referring to and was able to put his hands on it within a minute or two. Whenever I called his office and left a message, he got back to me promptly, usually within a couple of hours. This is very rare in the legal world. Whenever I had a question, he answered honestly and completely and made sure I understood his answer before moving on to more questions. He kept me informed and up to date on everything the other side was doing and why. He patiently explained to me how the disability laws and ERISA applied to my case. He never missed a deadline and told me ahead of time when there were documents to be filed. He was familiar with both opposing counsel and the mediator chosen for my case and has a good working relationship with both of them. This worked out into a favorable decision for me. As I stated above, I used to work in law firms and am very familiar with how they are run. Not only was I surprised at Mr. Engle's professionalism and knowledge, I was IMPRESSED. And that's hard to do when you're old and jaded like me!
