I hired this attorney while facing extreme crisis in my divorce. She seemed competent on our consultation. After I paid retainer fee she became confrontational, was avoiding me and dismissing important information for my case. Never called me to prepare for our contempt motion. She showed up to our motion unprepared, confrontational and did not act in my best interest and lost my contempt motion. Absolutely terrible representation.

This attorney has no clue what she is doing in family court. She does not do what is right for the children. Greed, not what is best for the child is what she cares about. People that are happy with her results are most likely where the children’s best interest are not!!

Was looking for a lawyer for my custody case. I read some good reviews on this place and was very optimistic. I sent all the paperwork that I had over to the office almost 2 weeks before my consult was scheduled. Finally the day comes to do the consult and she hadn’t even bothered to read the paperwork I sent over before hand. So the first several minutes of my consultation was spent with her just skimming over the documents I sent. After that when I tried to explain the situation to her, she was very rude and condescending. When I would say some thing about some thing in the court order, she would argue with me and say no it doesn’t say that. I would say yes it does, I have read this court order at least 50 times, and then I would have to spend another minute waiting for her to skim through it and read it over again and say oh I guess you’re right it does say that. Mind you, I was paying $200 for a 30 minute consult and she spent at least a third of that time reading this paperwork and arguing with me about what it said. How do you get off arguing with me about what a court order that you haven’t even read says?? Anyways at one point she literally told me that I need to lose the attitude against my ex because it’s not going to help me. Obviously I’m not going to walk in a quart room and have attitude with the judge but I should be able to express my feelings to my lawyer hey, at least I thought so. It seemed to me that she felt because she was older than me, she could scold me like she was my mother. She literally said “I’m gonna sound like your mother for a minute”. She constantly interrupted me and argued with me the whole time, and repeatedly told me that basically she did not believe what I was telling her and there HAD to be another explanation for why certain things happened in my case. I was very clear from the beginning that my ex is a literal sociopath and the GAL was extremely biased and I got massively screwed over. If things had been done correctly and fairly the first time, I wouldn’t have been here looking for a lawyer now! Anyways, this was by far the most unprofessional consultation I have ever had and the biggest waste of $200 I’ve ever spent. At the very least, she should have actually taken a few minutes to read the court orders I sent over before our consultation, considering she had almost 2 weeks to do so. Extremely unhappy and would not recommend, unless you want to spend $200 for 30 minutes of someone arguing with you and treating you like a child.

My experience with Katherine as my attorney has been above and beyond expectations. I appreciate all she has done for me and would highly recommend her.

Kati was our attorney with a third party custody case, she was on top of everything, very informative, replied to my emails, questions, and calls within an hour or so of my sending it. She was passionate, very helpful, and professional. I highly recommend her to anyone especially if they are going through a difficult child custody case. I would hire her again in a minute. She is worth every penny. Excellent attorney!
