The O'loane Law Group, specifically Rodi, was the best choice I made when I needed it most. She helped me through all of the steps of my divorce like she was family. She cared about me her client like I knew her for many years. Best call I ever made.

My experience with Rodi O'loane has been exceptional! She cares about her clients, she is honest and straight forward and works extremely hard to bring it all together and ensure the best for her client. The firm is down to earth and easy to work with.

Walking into Rodi’s office for the first time, I was nervous. I was staring down what was certain to be a long, nasty, complex divorce and I needed to make sure I had the best representation possible. But, I also had to know I could trust and relate to whoever might provide that. Rodi commanded the room with her presence, nevertheless, she immediately put me at ease. Within no time at all I could tell she understood where I was coming from, what my children and I were going through, and how my ex figured into these things. She got up to speed on my particularly complicated/unique situation extremely quickly, and I knew at once I had an ally. And a determined, smart, experienced, relentless, caring one at that. I knew she had my back from day one. And she never once faltered. Through the countless, pointless and malicious deviations, distractions, and motions my ex threw up to complicate things; the endless diatribe of slander and lies, the messy and ugly, Rodi was my rock. She – and her equally amazing and dedicated paralegal – gave me confidence, kept me informed, and put everything into perspective. She has a vast history with and inside knowledge of the courts and judges and she possesses a fierce, but steady, demeanor. She doesn’t let emotion get in the way as she works tirelessly to create a fair, appropriate, and welcome outcome. When my ex failed to even try to make mediation a success, we faced at court time—something both she and I had hoped to avoid. Mediation is always Rodi’s preferred outcome; that said, the court is truly where she shines. My own court experience turned into a three-day circus of sorts, thanks to my ex’s antics, vitriol, and curious representation. Rodi was at the top of her game fielding all the balls he kept trying to throw at us; she had hold of every thread and met each of his efforts with her legal expertise to ensure they fell short. Above all else, though, Rodi held my children at the heart of the everything and truly served as their advocate. There is no doubt that my kids were her highest, sacred priority. In the end, the outcome was best it could possibly be, given my situation. There is also no doubt that if it weren’t for Rodi O’Loane I don’t think I would have made it through all of this. She made me stronger and kept my family safe and protected. I would recommend her to anybody.

Interested in money only. Total disregard for the welfare and safety of children. "Cheat, steal and lie", is their anthem.

I hired O’loane Lawfirm 7 Months ago and paid out over $16,000 to them and I am no further than I was at the beginning. They are very hard to get ahold of, never answers all of my Questions, had to correct some of their work. I do believe they are just interested in making/ taking my money instead of protecting people. I do believe they stretched my divorce along , I’ve caught them in a lot of lies. They withdrew from being my attorney because of lack of payment.Once I paid them they reinstated my case and thousands of more dollars spent and I Was still no further from where we started. I finally had to fire them and hire a new attorney! I would not recommend this Lawfirm to anybody unless you have deep pockets And don’t mind throwing money away!

From the outset of our engagement, Andrew was uber prepared. He knew my case, knew my history, and knew the spectrum of potential issues. Prior to my court date, he ably led me through a comprehensive prep for the hearing--assuaging all of my concerns and answering questions. During the actual hearing, Andrew was polished and composed; he was organized, thorough and seemed to anticipate the judge's actions. He made this process seamless. I can not imagine a better disability advocate than Andrew McDonald.

I have know C. Anthony for almost 30 years. I was in professional school when he was in Law School. I have always been impressed with Tony's honesty and integrity. He has been my attorney for 25+ years and I have had outstanding service and attention. Tony has the rare gift of humor that dovetails well with a highly professional presentation. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for an honest, caring, spirited, "real" family man. He has unique experience in several aspects of the law and has represented me in the health professions admirably. I view Mr. Davis as one of my closest and respected friends as well as my attorney. 5 stars...a true "10".

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Everett, Washington?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
