As a Real Estate / Business Broker, Grant has closed numerous business opportunity sales/escrows for me. I was referred to him because he was one of the exclusive escrow closers for the defunct Citybank of Lynnwood. I have never visited his office because he travels to the business or real estate office to do the escrow closing and signing. He also can accommodate and do an after banking hours or weekend closing and signing. He has helped several sellers with their Dept of Revenue issues saving them thousands of dollars. All closing documents are scanned and put onto a CD and sent to all parties involved with low paper wast. His staff is very friendly and his fees very reasonable.

My husband and I recently purchased a house. If it had not been for the diligence of Grant Anderson, we would have been taken advantage off by the broker and seller. He took the time to read and help us understand each page of every document we were given. Most of the language was hard for us to understand, as legal documents can get quite complex. He made himself available whenever we needed assistance and stood up for us each step of the way.

This attorney was very informative and prompt to assist me with the correct legal work. He was always on time and made everything easy for me to understand. If it was not for him, my fiance and I would not able to have set a firm wedding date. I am thankful I was able to work with him on immigration law. I would recommend this reliable attorney to anyone!

I had never had a need for an attorney before, but after mom&dad became ill the need for protection for my sister and I became a reality. Zach (coming to my parents house) helped us create wills/power of attorney that led to a completion of probate upon their passing. While my sister and I grieved and dealt with things(family/funerals) Zach held this family together from behind the scenes(dealing with the court and debtors) doing all the work that I/WE were not prepared for. My sister and I will now always be linked and thankful for the compassion and professionalism we received from Mr. Luce.

Zach was very responsive in assisiting in the admnistering a will and a trust. He understood what our needs were and address them quickly and accurately. Was glad to have him to handle some of the diffiuclt task that I did not want to undertake. Zach has a very strong moral compass and it always pointed to do it right and upfront. I feel fortunate that we met. I intend to continue to use Zach if the need arise. In life we need to know a good electrcian, plumber, tax accountant and an attorney. So far i have 2 of the 4!

If i could give 10 stars I would. Dennis has gone far and beyond as my attourney. Very reliable, easy to reach, and explained everything to me as we went along with my case. I was content with my final sentence and he made each hearing simple for me with no confusion on what was happening and what steps were next. Thank you, Dennis.

Attorney Dennis Twitchel recently represented me on a traffic speeding offense citation in April 2024 on interstate 5 traveling northbound through Thurston County Washington. I hired Dennis Twitchel to represent me to test the reliability of the officer’s evidence against me including the tools used by the officer gather evidence. Dennis was meticulous and deliberate in his evaluation in every aspect of my case. He kept me informed on all manner of the case including scheduling of any hearings and possible outcomes. In the end, Dennis Twitchel was successful in establishing in court the unreliability of the office’s evidence forming the basis of the traffic violation which caused the case against me to be dismissed at hearing in August 2024, thereby maintaining my good driving record and any hikes in my insurance premiums. Being a recently retired attorney myself, I was very impressed with Dennis’ expertise and attention to detail. I am grateful for his representation of such high quality for such a reasonable fee. Attorney Twitchel is an expert in his field. I would never hesitate to recommend his services to anyone wishing to test the evidence against them which is one’s right under the constitution. Attorney Dennis Twitchel’s legal services are 5 Star level without any hesitation.

Tom handled my husband’s L&I claim for 8 years, ultimately helping him win a lifetime pension. Injuries and claims are life changing experiences, and can be extremely difficult to navigate. Tom led my husband through an intense, complicated legal gauntlet, handling curveballs from every direction, including many from us. I honestly don’t believe another attorney could’ve handled my husband’s claim with the same success. I encourage anyone going through this experience to talk to Tom about handling your claim, you won’t regret it.

October 2013, I went to Mr. Feller very upset with how I had been treated by WC, and at the time my claim had been prematurely closed without true concern for my well-being. It was after completing an IME, I hired Mr. Feller and his team, during consultation I felt a team of compassion from people who truly cares about what happen to others, immediately my time-loss was granted, and from there Mr. Feller & his team successfully proved my case a victory for honest hard working people fighting for their rights to be acknowledged, the battle was not only a hardship not for me but my family as well, who depended on me prior to my work related injury, I cannot express how grateful I am to have encountered Mr. Feller and his team who made a difference & proved injured workers have rights, Mr. Feller & team advocated for justice and it was served, ever grateful for this caring team of professionalism.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Fife, Washington?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
