I contacted Mr. Ennis when a family member fell critically ill. Mr. Ennis was wonderful. My family member had Mr. Ennis make a will 22 years ago and had not updated it or been in contact with the office since. I phoned the office, and within a half hour, Mr. Ennis reached out to me. He had reviewed the will, remembered my relative, and helped me through the necessary additions, updates, and amendments. Mr. Ennis then personally took charge of getting paperwork to the hospital administrators that day, getting the necessary documents signed by my relative with great professional expertise in deeply private matters, and most importantly with compassion for my loved relative. He made it all so simple and helped alleviate anxiety. I trust Mr. Ennis and would recommend him to others.

I asked Mr. Ennis specific questions regarding wills and irrevocable trusts. Mr. Ennis told me that such trusts were not viable and that the State of Washington was "cracking down' on such strategies with respect to Medicaid and VA Aid and Attendance and would not be allowed. I sought the counsel of another attorney who told me that Mr. Ennis' advise was false. Mr. Ennis proceeded to charge me $375 for an hour of inappropriate and misleading advise. Mr. Ennis purports to be an Elder Law Attorney. He is not knowledgeable.

Matthew Ennis helped me with a complex issue that was outside of his practice area and beyond his jurisdictional expertise. A savvy attorney beyond his years, Matthew was very instrumental in advising and putting me in touch with his vast resources outside of Washington state. He made sure that my needs were addressed and that his attorney referral could competently address my issue. That type of client-centric approach and intuitiveness is rare in the legal profession these days. But Matthew Ennis is a rare attorney indeed and I would hire him again for any future legal issue.
