I’m a twice divorced father of three beloved daughters, experiencing family law over a 23 year span of time. My first divorce taught me I couldn’t fight family law. It was impossible to share my daughter equally, without my ex-wife’s cooperation. I became the weekend visitor & my relationship and parenting time always felt prescribed and all too brief. My second divorce was more of the same treatment. It made for some rough years, despite our using “collaborative attorneys”. The concept seemed right, but it was more of the same, at a higher price. Fortunately, my two younger girls eventually decided to come live with me half time once they became teenagers, but the law and the ex didn’t care about the ramifications and changes that brought. I was still expected to pay child support, to have less say in my girls’ lives, and to not have any equality under the law. It really does feel like discrimination after decades of this. Family law is complicated, but it needs to evolve with the times. Shannon was recommended as an attorney willing to go to bat, to fight for justice, to render results, yet not inflame the situation, and that’s exactly what she did. It was emboldening to see her in action, writing opposing counsel with finesse and confidence, which made them relent and cooperate. It takes saying the right things, pointing out the weaknesses and hypocrisies at the right moments, and doing so without blinking. I was unduly impressed. It was the first time in 23 years of divorce headaches and heartache, where I felt heard, respected and ultimately awarded my rights as a parent. It’s hard to describe the sense of relief, of lightness of being, of redemption. Shannon Hadeed was my lawyer in a messy long custody, visitation and child support matter. My ex-husband is a high profile business owner. We had several hurdles to scale in my case, business taxes, personal taxes, psych evaluations, and a GAL who played favoritism. Jeffrey Robinson is one of the best family law attorneys in Pierce County. I would recommend him and his staff without hesitation. Unlike many other family law attorneys, he is a litigator and is prepared for the courtroom - a necessary strategy even if your case ends up settling. At the same time, Jeff is incredibly reasonable and realistic about your case. He will not tell you what you want to hear. But, unlike many family law attorneys out there, he is willing and more than qualified to fight for what is right. Jeff helped me tremendously through a difficult separation, and I can honestly say I do not know what I would have done without this firm on my side. I was emotionally beat down and he was there, legally and emotionally, during the most difficult time in my life. Before I hired Jeff, my case was on track to either go to court or be settled with many ridiculous concessions on my part.
