I write this review today because today is the day 25 years of tyranny and terror with my ex had ended. Matt came into my case in 2014 after 2 of the worst lawyers who had my case. My ex shopped around the 5 top lawyers and received consults which meant these lawyers could not take my case. Yes, the tyranny and terror started at the beginning. When I went to Matt in 2014 he was young and an up and coming lawyer. I had no expectations. But Matt was fair, knowledgeable and was not afraid. It was the first time I had a feeling of peace because he shut the opposing counsel down and did it with respect and integrity. Small win but it was huge for me. I was in awe then. Fast forward to today. Today I signed the last of the legal paperwork nightmare. This means Matt has given me me my life back. Matt was more than generous working with me on my bills. He is definitely results oriented. Thank you Matt. I recommend Matt for all family law cases!

Matt represented me fairly, honestly, and with good results. Not only has he been easy to work with, he is FANTASTIC at what he does. He doesn't forget the details and knows what matters in his cases. He is effective, extremely intelligent, and well respected for his work within the legal system. He was my 4th lawyer in my divorce and I wish he was my 1st. I had to deal with so much that shouldn't have happened and I believe Matt would not have let those things happen had he been representing me. He is also fair in his billing practices and genuinely cares about his clients.

As an attorney with many years of commercial litigation experience I thought my divorce would look similar to the cases I had handled for years. I quickly realized I was pretty lost in a foreign territory with a very different language and customs; until I hired Matt. While there were no children in our marriage, my divorce was financially complicated. There were multiple professional businesses to be dealt with, widely varying retirement account balances, differences in age and differences in social security payments. Matt was great at giving me an outline of what was to come, what was important and what was not important, how the law applied to the facts of my divorce, and the likely outcomes if we had to go through a trial. He did a great job of dealing with a very difficult opposing counsel, and keeping me sane in the midst of what at times seemed like craziness. When we went to mediation Matt did a great job of presenting to the mediator things that I did not explain very well. We were able to negotiate a very fair settlement during the mediation. Matt's fees were very fair considering the outcome, and based on what my ex- spouse has said about their fees, Matt's fees to me were less than a third of their fees. Matt simply stayed focused on what was going to make a difference and did not get dragged into unnecessary (and expensive) meaningless skirmishes. I think Matt is a great choice for a more-complicated divorce where analysis and detail, and clear communication, are critical.

From day one Matt put me at ease. He always maintained a professional demeanor and portrayed integrity throughout the mediation and court dates. He was consistent and never surprised me with unforeseen issues. With that being said, no one has that ability except God. So I always felt I was given a gift from God when I picked Mathew Purcell as my attorney. My case was awarded to me and im completely satisfied with the results. Your kindness is appreciated Matt.

I have hired Matt for a complicated divorce case, extremely complicated child custody case, and complicated business case. He has done a great job so far. He is great at business. He is easy to work with. He is very smart guy. He is good at debate in court. He is a very likable lawyer and person in and out of court. I am very happy with his work. He is probably the best lawyer in the area along with Shea. The best way to find a good lawyer is to sit in court and watch them argue. Matt is probably the best I have seen. He seems to have a lot of pride and integrity in his work. He cares about his clients.

My case was complicated, I had previously had three different lawyers and was feeling defeated until I saw Matt in court. He owns the court room when he speaks and he gets the respect he deserves. I knew I needed to speak with him and get his advice and when I did, I instantly knew that somehow, someway we would be able to solve my problems between my ex and myself. I am a no BS type of person and have to have things black and white and no sugar coating; Matt was exactly that but still compassionate to my situation at the same time. He told me straight up what he thought, what his plan was and what all of the possible outcomes would be. I had been to mediation twice with different lawyers with no resolution yet when I went to mediation with Matt the process was so different, he made everything run smoothly and we came to a solution that day. His honesty and integrity shows in everything he does. From how he speaks to you one-on-one to how he represents you in court, you can tell Matt has a true passion for what he does. He knows your case in and out and when you have a question he quickly has a solution or an answer to help. I can't say enough to thank Matt along with his amazing staff and their help they provided to make an uncomfortable process smooth sailing. I can now take a deep breath, move on, and look forward to my next chapter in life knowing that I absolutely got the best outcome possible thanks to Matt's help.

When we walked in for a consultation with Matt, our situation was lightly described as a massive mess. Up against every single obstacle possible, a wall of lies & at our wits end for a resolution. Matt was very honest and blunt and described exactly what we were up against and what it would take to make it right. He told us that he would take the case, but that he demanded our cooperation in timely responses and documentation. It was almost an entire year process, but Matt made EVERYTHING worth all the work and time put in to all of it. He always responded to questions, he worked with us through everything. With the help of Matt and his staff, I am able to now raise my children in the healthy, happy & supportive environment they deserve - and my children are excelling in every aspect of their new life. That in itself, is absolutely priceless. Matt is a straight shooter, he doesn't beat around the bush. He is straight to the point, beyond ethical and he gives it to you like it should be. He doesn't want his time wasted and he doesn't waste yours. He gets the right done. Our family will forever be grateful to Matt and his entire staff for making our family whole again.

Matt was very fair about his billing,his knowledge of the law was incredible, He is one of the most HONEST Attorney in the tri-city. Matt had to fix the errors made in my Divorce degree and the CR2A agreement made my attorney in Richland, and my x wife attorney in Pasco AFTER THE DIVORCE WAS OVER. The first time, I meet with Matt and told him that both attorney left my x wife retirement account open ,so she could pull all the money out of a community Property account, She did pull $85,555 before the divorce was over, That even her own attorney in Pasco did not disclose to the courts. Matt was in court the next day and put a stop order on that account. Matt save my my part of that retirement, because after the divorce,she moved to Florida and went missing, he had to track her down. Matt work with my x wife retirement account to get the right paper work in to them, to get my share. That, both the divorce attorney never contacted my x retirement account though out the hold divorce to get a balance on the account. I just moved to Pasco before the divorce and I did not know anyone it took 2 attorney, That I hire to mess up my divorce and I wish, I would of found Mathew Purcell and my divorce would not cost over $35,000 plus, what I had to pay Mathew Purcell to fix the other attorney mistakes. I am truly bless for Mathew Purcell and his staff, they were great to work with.

My experience with Matt Purcell was horrible. He was unprepared, unskilled and embarrassed me in front of the courts time and time again. He did not bill fairly nor did he treat me with dignity. I felt like a number-- just another person for him to make a profit off of. I do not feel as though he cared about me or my case-- instead, he cared about racking up bills on my behalf. I do not feel as though I was accurately represented in court or that the case presented on my behalf was truthful or ethical. I would not recommend wasting your time or money on Matt Purcell.

Matt took on a very complicated case of mine. Before I hired Matt, I had a final parenting plan that was put in place back In January 2016. After spending an abundance of money on my prior Lawyer, I had decided to settle in court, although it wasn't what I truly wanted. I was then referred to Matt and heard wonderful things about him and his line of work. Soon after, I sat down with Matt and decided to hire him. Matt was completely honest and upfront with all the questions I had. He was very professional and straight to the point, which I loved because he didn't beat around the bush and said things for how they were. In the end, Matt was able to open my parenting plan back up for a major modification. I ended up getting custody of my son, which was something I never thought I would get as a father. Honestly, if it wasn't for Matt and his amazing staff working hard on my case, I wouldn't be where I am today with my son. I would highly recommend Matt to anyone who is looking for an excellent attorney. He has literally done what no attorney could and what I never expected to happen. After a long, hard fight, I finally have my son and it is all to the thanks of Matt and his staff!

Mathew was completely honest and upfront. I would hire him again if I needed representation. He has a very deceiving demeanor..but Mathew has an amazing integrity and confidence that gets the job done.
