I consulted Mr. Carew regarding the question of professional negligence of a provider involved in the sale of a yacht. I had no idea what information I would need in order to consider proceeding with a lawsuit. Mr. Carew took his time, gave me his genuine interest and his competent knowledge in telling me the options and pitfalls to keep in mind as well as what the next steps could be. At the end of the consultation I had a clear understanding of my next steps and the general structure of legal recourse.

I felt that Shane broke the lawyer stereotypes: he was honest, candid, and worked to help me even after it seemed financially lucrative for him to do so. He helped me obtain a settlement for unpaid wages from a fishing operation. He had good advice, was very realistic and forthcoming, and ultimately I can sleep a little better at night knowing the system (and good people like Shane) can make the right thing happen.
