Do not use! Website says 30 day money back guarantee. Been fighting for that refund and they say since I had access to website they can't give me a full refund. The gave me a partial and then removed access to my answers, so all my work went to waste. Use a different company.

My experience with Mr Parnell far exceeded my expectations. I swear he doesn't sleep at all, since I received timely communication at all hours. The process was clear, concise and remarkably cost effective. I would highly recommend his services!!!

Been waiting 2 months for them to send my husband his paper work and they just keep saying 7-10 more business days. This place just wants your money. And you will never get that divorce!

It is the worst service ever. Almost everyday i ask updates about my case. They keep telling me it is in progress and may take 10 business days. Today is 15 business day since they received my signed documents. They even dont know what is going on with my case and asking 24-48 hours to clarify. Are you kidding ? You even dont know your job? And you call this premium service? Not even close to premium. And now i am waiting on the line almost 1 hour and still no answer.

Excellence! Mr. Parnell was not only exceptionally talented but very personable, easy to work with and really seemed to care about us and the outcome. Although our challenge was fairly simple, we felt as if he treated us like the most important people in the world. If you have a need for help reach out to him we are certainly lucky to have him help us. Highly recommend!

I first talked to Bruce right before NJP and he gave me free counsel. I hired him afterwards and never thought twice. I was facing two charges 112a and 92. He won my case with the best possible outcome; the Admin Board results were 3-0 no misconduct and 3-0 retention, a unanimous win. His extensive experience and tremendous talent was the reason my board went so well. No matter what the details of your case are, he will ensure you get the best possible outcome. I have 12 years in the Navy and now I will be able to continue my career. I am eternally grateful for that.

I was facing TWO allegations in my Command which are 112a and 93. With 16 years in the Navy, I knew the Navy has ZERO tolerance when it comes to illegal drugs and I take it very seriously. I got so worried that my 16 long years I spent my life in the Navy would just flush thru a drain like waste. As soon as I found out about it, I didnt hesitate to call Mr White and he gave me some advises before I even hire him and met in person. The moment I met Mr White, I felt very comfortable and ease. He is so flexible that I can meet or call him almost anytime of the day to answer any questions and worries I had. I will never forget that time he told me that he will go to war for me to win this battle. The day of my Adsep board he truly proven me what he said by shutting down our opponents who tried to take me down. I highly recommend Mr Bruce White to anyone who is facing the toughest time in life.

Absolutely no regrets other than wishing I called earlier! After getting cut off by a car while on my motorcycle, I was left with plenty of scratches and a totaled bike. Being in the Military I felt like I had to settle my case ASAP. I recieved a ridiculous offer from an unresponsive insurance company which had me on the search for help. Luckily, I was pointed in the direction of Mr. Meyers and his team. After calling them, I felt like my case was on auto pilot never had to stress out again. Even after PCS'ing to Korea, they kept me updated until the very end. Max Meyers Law helped us get more than 23x our original settlement offer! The most professional and experienced team I had the pleasure to work with. Thank you for everything Meyers Law! -Ozzy

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Kirkland, Washington?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
