We as human beings and in general... are more inclined to write a bad review on a negative experience than writing a good one for an experience that is a good. So this morning when I woke up and looked at my invoice statement from Halverson Law... and after seeing what I'm being billed for... I realized that a review was in order. Most would think... how can you look at a 'bill' and feel positive about it. Well it's because I looked not at how much I owed... but what I owed money for. It was for having my back. You see... when I first decided to enter into the 'oh so wonderful' i502 world called the cannabis industry here in the state of Washington... I initially chose a law firm due to my liking of a lawyer who happened to be working there at the time. Well... 2 weeks after slapping down a very large retainer with said firm... my very much liked attorney... again for which was the reason why I chose this firm to begin with was abruptly and unjustly fired. Leaving me in the legal hands of the person who's name was on the firms door. Since we were in the midst of an approval process for the purchase of the business I was buying and eventually bought... I was stuck. But vowed to the attorney who I started with that if he ever ended up at another firm... I'd follow him. Well he ended up at Halverson Law and when the WSLCB approval came through for the business that I bought... I followed. But first I really needed to meet the name that hung on the door as I didn't want to find myself in the same position I was in with the prior law firm. I met with Erik and within 5 minutes... I realized that Halverson Law was where I needed to be and immediately switched. Erik, Chris Larson, Chris Lurs, and the rest of the crew at Halverson Law bring back the personal attention that is so often lost in many law firms... large or small. I can't say enough great things about this team of dedicated and smart humans that gather everyday under one roof at Halverson Law. They are simply the best.
