Ms. Cortez reached settlement agreement with me and my attorney paul wasson in a 3 strikes life without parole sentence in 1999. Ms Cortez represented the State of Washington after the entire Asotin County Prosecuting Attorneys office was disqualified due to prosecutorial jmisconduct. I appreciate her integrity in conceding that the original court committed an error in sentencing and that i didnt qualify for the lock em and throw away the key sentence. She is willing to reach concessions when equity fairness and justice require it.
