Hired to draft a prenup within two months of the wedding. Changed it to a post nup because my husband could not find someone who would allow him sign something so close to the wedding date, but she was fine with it. Long delays in sending us a draft of the post nup. When the draft did finally show up, it was the opposite of what we had asked for. Everything was separate, not community property, spousal support totally waived. It was 100% against my best interests and literally every single term was the opposite of what I had said I wanted in our first call and what my husband and I had aligned on prior to the wedding. She was surprised and said that is not what was discussed, which is wildly not true. She would not write the types of terms discussed because it was too close the current law. We think it is prudent to have some sort of written agreement in place, she did not agree. Caused 3 months of delay. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMEND THIS LAWYER. She does not listen, is not proactive, is not practical, and will probably do the opposite of what is asked. Since talking with other lawyers to find a replacement, nearly every bit of advice or strategy that she proposed was not very practical advice according to 5+ more lawyers.

Erika did an amazing job with my child support adjustment case. My child’s father was asking for a bunch of downward deviations to lower the child support amount, and she got all of the deviation requests thrown out. I feel like my child got what was fair and what he deserves because of her work. She is very sweet, easy to work with, responds quickly, and explained the whole process to me from our first consultation until after our court hearing. She held my hand thru the whole process. I would recommend Erika to any parent out there that wants what is right and fair for your children.

Little over 2 years ago I went to the lawfirm to find out if I had a leg to stand on to get custody of my kids. Erika took on my case and had my back tell the end. Erika took the time to explain the divorce process thoroughly so that I understood what I was going to experience. She had a great attitude with me but never backed down from advocating for me. She was a great communicator and always had time for me despite having many clients. Erika is a great choice for a tough yet compassionate family lawyer.

Erika often appeared distracted in the work she did in my divorce/custody case. She gave me wrong advice about my travel when I specifically asked if it would affect the outcome and proffered to communicate via email rather than have conversations regarding the case. She failed to include an interpreter request to my witness in the case which was subsequently not allowed to testify. Additionally, she did not complete documentation necessary to include financial declarations in my trial. Payed in excess of 16k for poor representation that provided me with little to no child visitation. PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE, she doesn't know what she is doing.

Erika helped us on a foreign/ international re-adoption matter. We were very happy with her services and highly recommend her. After initially sharing a few details with her about our international adoption, she handled everything else, including coordinating with our adoption agency. We just had to show up to the hearing and hear the pleasant words that our re-adoption was finalized. As others have noted, she knew exactly what to do and kept us feeling confident with her expertise.
