I am in the middle of a lawsuit with trial only a few weeks away. I called Michael because my current attorney isn’t returning my phone calls, is late on filings and has been reactive throughout my case. Michael was very helpful in reviewing my case and providing guidance on my next move. I have learned many valuable lessons thru this process with the main lesson being; cheap lawyers aren’t cheap! Biggest Fire in W. Seattle History--Dave von Beck is the Best On April 30, 2015 I was involved in the largest fire in West Seattle history. 3 houses, including mine, burned to the ground. Besides my actual loss, I was involved in an insurance nightmare. My insurance company had insured me for 28 years, and I had the best policy possible. Yet, they only were willing to reimbursement 1/2 the cost the rebuild. I wasn't sure if I wanted to incur the cost of hiring a lawyer or trust my insurance company to do what was right by me. I was in the bind of not trusting my insurance company and not trusting lawyers. I was at a loss as to what to do, and interviewed several lawyers, at the advice of my lawyer friends. Dave was my top pick because of his experience and his cost. He was positive, knowledgeable, open to suggestions and feedback, ethical, timely and aggressive. I always felt assured he was on top of things, and he put up the best legal arguments possible on our behalf. In a situation like this, one feels totally out of control of their life circumstances, and Dave always made me feel like I was in control of each action I took. He gave me the pro's and con's of each step. I would more than highly recommend him...his years of experience and ethics give lawyers a good name.

David von Beck took a case against my general contractor after the contractor dug my lot too deep and then built my house without proper drainage or a moisture barrier, causing basement flooding only two months after construction was completed. Mr. von Beck's daily dedication, effective and solid research, understanding of detailed Washington construction law, and ability to work with all other attorneys ensured I had the strongest case possible. We settled without having to go to court and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the outcome. Great effort throughout!
