Hired Jason for a custody battle, he was very confident in his work. During the case I was very uncertain of how it would go due to my son's mother being VERY incoperative. Jason was able to keep me positive and show results at the same time. Without Jason and the help of his team I wouldn't have a relationship with my son. I couldn't be more grateful! Pricing was definitely fair in the matter, he is very straight forward and doesn't beat around the bush. If he tells you how things are going to go that's what's going to happen. In my opinion he is VERY knowledgeable in his work, he knows the system and if you need a lawyer he is the man for the job.

Jason Benjamin and his paralegals really saved me from the sinking ship that was my case. The attorney that I had hired at the beginning of my court proceedings against the father of my child, didnt argue my case at all, and it kept seeming more clear that he was causing actual damage to the progress of my case. It was a relocation/child support/parenting plan case, so a bit of everything. My child had sustained some traumatic injuries under the care of his father, and my old attorney would fail to mention it to the judge even while im standing next to him, nudging him with my elbow, begging him to bring up my sons injuries. My babys fathers attorney was tough, and kept putting the breaks on everything, throwing monkey wrenches into the works, and my old attorney would go for it, and send me home to write one meaningless deposition after the other. I was becoming depressed and almost felt hopeless before I hired Jason, but he quickly made me feel so confident and comfortable. Jason and his office really argued for me. They obviously really cared about our (my son and myself) wellbeing. Their whole office was friendly and If there was a surprise monkey wrench thrown in the mix during court, Jason would march us down to the law library and he'd work hard, right there, to combat whatever funny business the other side would try. Both Jason and his office are very good at getting back to any emails or phone calls. The kept telling me that I'm in the driver's seat, and with them I really felt like I always was. They really listened to everything, it was more like having that big scary best friend that comes to your rescue when things get hairy. I will always go back to Jason with any issues I have in the future with my case, and I highly recommend him to anyone. Im so thankful for them, and all the hard work they put in for my family. I wouldve lost my case for sure if I wouldve stayed with my first attorney, but Jason really turned everything around for us. We ended up winning on all fronts. Getting everything we asked for. I honestly couldnt thank them enough. Family court is stressful but I could honestly say, that Jason and his paralegal Jess really took that stress away. I felt safe knowing they were backing me up. I felt brave, comfortable, and confident in court every single time. They really did a fantastic job! Hire Jason if you want to win your case!

Jason and his staff are nothing short of exemplary! I came to him with a complex, emergency situation that involved my ex-spouse wanting to immediately relocate my daughter internationally. The case involved an emergency hearing and required quick action. Jason was thorough, responsive and expedient is preparing everything that was necessary. He also uncovered some very important factors when reviewing my divorce documents that will help my situation in additional court proceedings. I was amazed with his representation in the court room, as well. Needless to say, we won (which is a miracle, considering he had only three days to prepare the case). I am so thankful to him that he was able to fight to keep my daughter from moving over 8000 miles away. If you are seeking someone who truly loves helping his clients and is motivated to do the best job possible for them, I would highly recommend hiring him. You want and need him on your side!

Had I known what I know now and hired Jason to begin with, I could have saved myself a lot of heartache, anxiety, and money. However, I was completely naive as to the possible reposition detriment to appear as pro see in a custody modification/contempt hearing, thus the outcome of my recent show cause hearing couldn't have been worse—I lost every motion presented, all four of them, was held in contempt—twice—but worse of all, the commissioner decided to change the custody arrangement, making my ex the sole custodian, despite the fact that I had raised the child since birth...alone. However, changing the status quo would have been detrimental for my child, forcing him to abandon his friends, his school, and the only home he's ever known. My naïveté and misplaced confidence cost me custody ! From sole caregiver and custodial parent to bi-monthly visits...what happened? The answer is pretty simple—I went pro see while my ex hired an attorney. I needed the best family lawyer the Northwest had to offer to fight this nightmare, thus started an extensive search to find an attorney that could stand up to my expectations. I needed an experienced custody lawyer; somebody that was aggressive, quick, highly intelligent, compassionate, witty, tenacious, eloquent... and honest. Somebody that would work with my meek student budget and not overcharge. I simply wanted what everybody is else looking for too—the "perfect package"; a combo of Saul Goodman, Erin Brockovich, Matlock and Perry Mason to fight for me. I must have researched every custody attorney in the NW, spending countless hours combing through reviews and court documents. However, it wasn't until I've watched life litigation and observed my the different attorneys argument styles that I finally found what I was looking for...Jason Benjamin. I went straight from the courtroom to Jason's office and was greeted with compassion and understanding, despite being a disheveled and crying mess. Jason Had I hired Jason right away this situation certainly wouldn't have happened. took one look at my case and said " Let's file for revision and set this straight".

When my ex tried to keep my son (that I have custody of) in MT, I contacted Jason. He got my son back for me right away, won the custody hearing when my ex tried to fight me, and won every other trial we went to! His paralegal, Jess, is just as amazing. They made me feel competent in my case and we're always available to answer any questions I had. We're not quite done yet, but I have confidence that everything will turn out for the best.     I divorced my husband when he began an affair with my best friend who is a veterinarian.  He ended up with a very soft landing because their combined incomes exceed $17,000 per month and they live in a mini-mansion on 25 acres.  I ended up with an abusive boyfriend and had to move out of the boyfriend’s in an emergency and had some health issues on top of that.  I ended up having to live with a friend and was unemployed.  Well, my ex-husband smelled blood in the water and hired a highfalutin law firm and paid them a huge retainer to try to get custody of our teenagers away from me and to stop his child support of only $900 per month.  I was terrified, but thank God through friends was able to hire Jason Benjamin who absolutely TORE UP my ex in court while his expensive lawyer stood there reading her argument from a script.  The judge threw out his case and I retained my custody of our children and my child support!  At a previous hearing, Jason was able to get the court to require my ex to pay my lawyer fees.  If you are scared to death, get Jason on your side! Jason is someone who truly cares about his clients and works hard to get his clients the results they want.  

I posted a question here and was showed recommendations for lawyers to contact, Mr. Benjamin was the one I sent a message to and he responded to me within minutes. It was Sunday (and a holiday weekend) and I had no hope of speaking to anyone for a few days. He met with me the same day, yes on a Sunday, and we were before a judge the very next morning. He did what any other attorney would take a few days to do in a matter of an hour. He was understanding of my case and was ready for battle the next morning. Within 12 hours my children were in my custody and out of the hazardous environment they'd been subjected to. I can't say enough positive things, if you are on the fence at all please take my advice and hire Mr. Benjamin, it will be the best decision you could make...I know it was for me.

My divorce and custody case is, for lack of a better term, a mess. My ex husband and I went back and forth for a few YEARS, pro se, and without either of us really knowing what we were doing AT ALL, our case file is a disaster. I started my on-line search for an attorney approximately 18 months ago. I didn’t know any lawyers in the Tacoma area, so I was relying on what I read in reviews to help me select the legal council to help me through my intimate committed relationship breakup and the ensuing custody battle for our child. When I met with Jason he quickly gained an understanding of my situation, was confident from the start and offered a clear and concise path forward to address my unique situation. My case ended up in trial in spite of efforts to negotiate a settlement. The trial process was difficult emotionally, but from Jason’s command of the court room, his rapport with the Judge and court personnel and his tight grasp on legal matters it was clear he was absolutely the best lawyer in the courtroom. The end result of trial was precisely as Jason had predicted, and for some items even more in my favor. I was awarded a large sum of money and custodial parent with a great parenting plan for my child. In addition, he prices his legal services as a flat fee, no matter how much effort is required to get resolution. At first I was skeptical, but after going through many, many unplanned court hearings and a full 4 day trial, my legal costs were about 15% of what the other side had spent. In summary, best lawyer in the courtroom, achieved best possible outcome and was by far the lowest cost alternative. No doubt in my mind, he was absolutely the best attorney for me and I’d recommend him unequivocally to anyone looking for family law council.
