The person I spoke with was a little mean and made me feel uncomfortable. However, I am giving them 3 stars because they refunded my money. That person may have just been having a bad day.

The quality control of potential new client intake is sorely lacking.
I approached this firm in early August, with a large case seeking counsel. I did not receive a reply back until I had to call them almost a month later. The staff told me that they indeed sent a letter to my designated email, and if I'd like, they could re-send it. I asked them to, as well as CC'ing another email handle in case of a spam filter.
I received the email to both handles. The email simply said they could not represent me on this case. From the recent reviews, it seems like this is an increasing trend.

When I wrote a Yelp review about my experience, I gave it one star and the above was verbatim what I wrote. Dan Kalish (managing partner), as expected, reached out to me to see about reconciling this and hearing my case out. For that, I have given an additional star. I do not feel that this "lets make it right" approach deserves a passing grade, however.
Consider this a learning opportunity. Fix your intake system.
